Kickstarter backers: after too many delays we’re shipping out these little Chronowyrms soon! Each one has been 3d printed and hand-painted to ensure we’re satisfied with the quality of them. We hope you love them as much as we do!

Just thinking out loud here, but can I ask;

  • Do you use the standalone client or the Steam client?
  • If standalone, do you enter your account name or e-mail address when logging in?

Thanks for the feedback!
Could you please elaborate more about the cursor not disappearing? What platform are you on?
The mouse cursor should be disappearing, leaving space to the controller cursor, so only one of them should be visible at once.

Can you try making one without that and see if it helps at all? It really shouldn’t but that’s the only similarity I can find right now.

I have a new theory about the reason it’s not showing up for some people, do you by any chance put your account name in your character names? I know this seems strange but it might be relevant.

Could I get you to grab an output log for me? That’s what will really help this. I put your Avalanche one on manually, that’s why it showed up.

I suspect that the problem is happening right as you log in. It really has nothing to do with the characters I don’t think. As an experiment, you could try not including Sirris in the name to see if it shows up.

I would like to have your most recent output log if possible. If you do get another character up high enough to appear on any ladder at all and it doesn’t, a new log file would be great too.

Thanks

Hi there!

Have you recently been guiding members of the community?

Balance is a funny thing. Different skills will have different power levels perceived as being appropriate for them, but sometimes that power level can be more effectively delivered than others. For example - you could have a very powerful, but very niche option. You often see examples of this in card games, where cards are deliberately designed as counters.

The longer the duration, the less powerful the effect will be. At six seconds long you’re going to run into cases where 30-50% of the duration occurs while you run to the next group of enemies, and in addition to not being very effective, that...

I’m not sure how likely it is their AI will be meaningfully improved prior to the implementation of multiplayer. While I think having a few different settings for their AI would be a good addition, it would be contending with multiplayer for the time of specific team members.

I’ll raise the issue in a meeting next week, but unfortunately it’ll likely be a while before something changes. But I could be wrong - I’ll try to remember to follow up here after doing so.

Hrm, I’m not sure I agree.

Certainly, if we were talking about a fight in World of Warcraft where two tanks in a 25 man raid were switching the boss’s attention between the two of them as they gained stacks of a debuff - yeah, this design would be ill-suited to that, and it’d likely need replacing entirely.

ARPGs usually revolve around engaging many enemies in a relatively short period of time, and we’re trying to avoid downtime caused by a non-player tank having relatively low health, and that discouraging the p...

Can any of the people who I fixed it for earlier confirm that it worked? I don’t want to start manually fixing them for people. I can set up an automated system but that is pointless if it’s not working.

As I said, that information is saved in the Windows Registry.

Ah, in that case the information you are looking for would be housed within the Windows Registry. Our official position is that we cannot recommend modifying the Windows Registry - and that, if you do so, you should absolutely create a backup of it first.

If you would like to do so anyway, a member of the community created this tool which you may be interested in. Please bear in mind that we aren’t able to support third-party software.

As this thread may be of periodic interest more than most, I’ll configure it to be locked automatically six month after the most recent post, rather than the standard two months.

You are correct that high end pets build are currently a bit weaker compared to other builds, but time will tell.

You are in luck for your #3 passive build. Check out some posted builds/videos on aura of decay (AOD) necro. It's a toggled aura that poisons everything around you 3 times a second, and yourself once a second. Poison damage basically stacks exponentially, so the damage gets pretty good. With enough health regen and poison resist you can stay in your own aura forever, or you could build it for even more damage if your willing to toggle it on and off now and then to allow the poison to fall off yourself. Very satisfying, easy build to play, once you have the righ...

No difference in the steam version vs the supporter pack, except steam purchasers having to reach out to support to get some of the fluff that comes with the supporter pack. I purchased off steam

Heyo! People shouldn't actually need to reach out to support - that said, we're always happy to assist if any issues arise. :)
