They easily could have said "Aurora is 2 months away" and that would have been fine, disappointing but at least we'd know instead of absolutely zero champion information

Aurora is significantly less than 2 months away

Spirit of the Hearthhome should be the standard for champion teases, it's fun, cute, and makes it more of a landmark.

New series and MOVIES for league? Exciting goddamn

It'll take a month or two (rough estimate) for the updated visuals, but yeah, we agree those didn't hit the mark and need to be changed.

Would love to do something like Spirit of Hearth Home for as many champs as we can. It's been great seeing people enjoy it. Wouldn't want to use that exact format of course, need to make sure we find different things for different champions (avoid overusing or misapplying a format like we did with the Visual Novel approach post Spirit Blossom for example)

No the f**k it is not. 0.0001% of that money will ever be invested in your esports scene. Stop with this bs, stop embarrassing yourself even more. This is pure greed and your are trying to milk Faker's name to the bone, nothing more. In what world is 500 euro skin celebrating anyone but the company that is going to keep the profit. Please be for f**king real Meddler ...

For esports content like this, or the Championship skins, 30% of the gross revenue goes directly to esports. That's equivalent to around 50% of the profit on average (varies a bit depending on how much any given thing costs to produce and how well it sells). Of the remaining 30% gross that isn't allocated to esports up front some will also end up covering esports events costs still, even if it's not going directly to players/teams/prize pools

A lot of people have been saying they’d prefer for older champions to be retrofitted to be in line with modern league both visually and in gameplay, so hearing that they might just scrap the Malphite visual update is really disappointing. So many champs need model updates and Malphite is reasonably popular compared to some of the worst offenders like zilean and corki. Just feels like the players who enjoy the older characters are being left out to dry

We want to update those older champ visuals. The experimental part here, and reason this particular approach might get scrapped, is in figuring out how feasible it is to adapt Wild Rift assets (different format, engine etc so a lot to refit) or whether it's more efficient to just make updated assets from scratch.

Most likely path is we still do a text Roadmap, but time it with a dev update in the future, with a TLDR or intro in the video. Didn't do that this time because we'd revealed Ambessa early and are being deliberately vague about the Arcane associated VGU

Where's Aurora info? No champion roadmap is really disappointing. The hype and the hope of future champions coming out that might become your favorite is a massive part of keeping up excitement for the game IMO.

Aurora's real close at this point. Instead of revealing stuff through dev updates/blogs we're letting the reveal campaign do its things with stuff like Spirit of Hearth Home.

Champ roadmap wise, between talking about Ambessa at season start (who's a more known quantity from Arcane) and the desire to keep the Arcane associated VGU unknown we didn't have as much new to share as we normally would. We talked about revealing more distant content, but concluded we'd both have to be vague and it would feel forever until any of it even got seen. Conclusion was skipping this one made the most sense. Expect them, or something very similar, to return though

I can't recall exactly what we've said about Ambessa so far. She is a fighter though certainly.

They gave Faker a backup that was undamaged for him to display.

We did - apparently it's pretty standard practice to make back ups for stuff like this (I wasn't aware until this either).

Having said that, we should have spotted that the first one was damaged and swapped them out before presenting it to Faker in the first place

The change was decided after filming. It will be in the next patch!

Is that link not working on mobile? I'm on mobile now and it worked for me. I can see if the team has any known issues.

Yeah the Korea Riot team noticed it was broken after we gave it to him and replaced it with our extra one that we had. So the one Faker actually owns now should be perfect looking.

Edit: Actually funny story, they sent out a signed letter with your most played champ. I mained twitch but changed my in-game name around the time they sent those out. To keep my old name I created a lvl 1 account with only Alistair and Garen on it. You could get this Alistair skin and a Garen skin for free. I played 1 game on that account and ended up with the Alistar signed letter haha. I think it makes a nice story tho!

Hah! Blast from the past - love it

  • Empowered Q MS amount
  • Empowered Q MS duration
  • W MS
  • W slow
  • E self-slow which nobody experienced on Vlad ever actually utilizes, since it just turns the "grace period" of overcharging into a pure detriment that's more likely to just make you miss.

Also, considering how overly reliant he is on summoner spells, have you guys considered going the Annie approach and making R give him a burst of decaying MS or something? Especially since the only reason he's doing so poorly right now are the Ghost nerfs.

Even if the amounts are small they are still valuable as a part of the kit. If we changed those values its likely something would have to be removed or significantly reduced (such as damage) which I don't think Vlad players would be happy with

I wouldn't expect anything conservative

Fluid demotions has uncovered some deep systems stuff interacting in undesirable ways (due to some now invalid core assumptions about the behavior of lp) resulting in this behavior. We're investigating a fix, but it's a little more difficult than expected. Apologies
