Kayn was supposed to be able to jg and top lane. Haven't seen Kayn top in ages.
This reminds me we tested way too much Rell top, but that never worked out once she went live :(

The comment describes an active and a reactive play pattern and says both are bad, so how do they intend someone to play him?
Ah i see whats going on. allow me to qualify the statements made.
these two play patterns are undesirable when they account for the degree of importance that is observed on live atm. you will obviously still shield yourself or your ally in trades, and often hold your Q. These changes simply pull some of the power out of the self E > AA pattern in favor of asking you to take some risks with looking for opportunistic Q harass when you think you can get away with it, while also making it significantly better to do so.

Like what the f**k?
Did /u/GreaterBelugaWhale lose lane to a Milio and choose violence?

An update here, assuming I'm interpreting the question correctly - Pakistan should be very much supported as part of the new server overall. There is a specific custom keyboard giveaway that's limited to certain countries though, which some countries aren't eligible to enroll in unfortunately (physical giveaways especially come with a lot of extra complications).
I love how even the higher ups at riot still talk and interact with the community.
Have a great day man.
Thank you, you too!
Read moreThis revealing actually only got fixed for Lux E a little while (year or so) ago.
"Targeting" enemy units with
single-target
,area
,pointblankAOE
, orcone
targeting type while the enemy team has no vision of you creates a reveal bubble on you at the start of the cast (when the engine-level targeting happens), unless the spell has this turned off with a parameter. The actual "targeting area" for area and cone spells is typically NOT what's actually used by the spell script afterwards; It's just a leftover of a type of targeting that they never fixed to even work with cast times (so before they were each changed to just do this at script level, cone spells like Darius E would "find" their targets on cast start, and then affect them at the end of the cast time - wherever they went).
Anyway, since this whole emerging reveals stuff is super obscure and controlled by spell data that isn't directly maintained or ...
maybe/definitely it's intended
what’s the reason for milio adjustments? he doesn’t seem to be OP or bad atm
on live, milio has two play patterns that are not desirable: E yourself and auto attack the enemy level 1 where you outtrade basically everyone else; never cast Q except to peel
Pulling some power from early level E>AA to feed power into Q so you can cast it in in poke/harass rather than purely held as a disengage
Any updates on the Assassin changes Phreak talked about?
not that im aware of. i am only adjacent to tuning/balance atm
ASol is slightly outdated. He is no longer getting the extra AA Range, and his stardust scaling on W Distance is no longer getting nerfed. Also the E change to summons is not just a clarification, it is an actual gameplay change
Milio is also outdated. there is no change to the E CD level scaling
My only feedback is that I think I'd prefer slightly fewer pros so we could hear the designers interacting with the pros a bit more. But overall great stuff.
We ended up chatting so much about Aurora! It was a bit unstructured and I took tons and tons of notes. While some feedbacks were conflicting, it was great to get deep into how the Pros think! Scene wise, we were just really interested in getting as much play time as possible that day with the Pros :D
This video is actually really good even if you're not into esports - it gives exactly the kind of first look into these champions that spotlights don't really cover, and it even involves some discussion between the design leads and the pros!
If we're going to have the LCS in LA, I'm glad they're taking proper advantage for once by bringing the Riot creative together with the competitive.
Really, really well done.
A note! I'm not the design lead but I did end up discussing many of the points with our lead designer :)
Nocturn!
Not sure that’s intentional. Will follow up with the team running this process, see what’s up
Hello there! I'm the SFX designer on Battle Bat Xayah. Thanks for the feedback!
As for the W - it should definitely be playing the mini tune in the background - there was a bug that was somehow stopping that sound from playing, which I fixed but not in time for the video team to record. I'll double check to see
As for the E - I'll try to increase the presence of the hit, and make it longer so that it's clear that the root is lasting for 1.5 seconds.
New Reroll-to- Bench Cooldown: Previously, if players rerolled their champion, then their previous champion could be picked by their teammates immediately. Now, your rerolled champion will have a three second “bench cooldown” for your teammates, meaning they will be unable to pick said champion and you can get them back without any stress. Goodbye bench sniping minigame! This change won't impact any of the existing swap-with-bench behavior as it focuses on rerolling, meaning if you swap with a bench champion, your teammate will still be able to pick the champion you gave up immediately.
FINALLY
Happy to help :D
Im a bit confused as to why the mythic shop rotation is so secretive this time lol
It's not secretive it's just scheduled a little weird due to a holiday causing a short work week on top of summer break next week for us.
It should be up by July 9th.
Given I worked as a data analyst at Riot for 10 years from 2012 to 2022 (and returning in 2 weeks!) I have seen most every random fact there is and I know I've shared some before so here are some I don't think I've shared before or at least in a long time.
When we were analyzing Red vs Blue side win rates by champion we saw that champions like old Poppy and Taric were pretty equivalent but champions with long range abilities like Xerath were favored on Blue Side likely do to with the prevelance of locked camera and the perspective difference. Rumble was a MAJOR stand out, like a 8% win rate difference which we attributed to his ult but one patch it went up to like 13% and we didn't know why. Turns out, some how, on Red side (Purple side back then :D) his Q would only tick every other time functionally doing half damage. That was a fun one to track down.
Similarly, there was a time when Ezreal Q had a hidden like +5-15 range on only his base skin which we found when ...

All of these types of references ("Yuumi" brings up Moonstone Renewer etc) are directly translated, but often probably won't make much sense in other languages unfortunately.
