We missed you too!
We missed you too!
If you check the stream schedule there are multiple streams in multiple languages throughout the week - you don't have to interact - merely leave the stream up to collect the tokens
Sorry, folks!
I saw that the Twitch Schedule reflected our absence over the break and deduced that I would have to actively schedule a new stream for the 12th. I didn't realize that it had already repopulated the schedule for this week even when we had not actively scheduled a stream.
We'll be back next week for you all to hoover up the community points!
Update:
The "Recommendation" survey in-game was implemented to find out why people WOULD recommend the game. Seeing as people are often far more vocal about their dislikes than their likes, it was determined to make a survey specifically to find out about what they like enough to cause them to recommend to others because often times people with positive responses simply go along being happy and don't voice it in the forums or elsewhere.
Nothing was bugged. No one was maliciously trying to "hide" anything. The specific purpose of the survey was to discover what people were happy about enough to recommend.
Before you say, "Why not ask why they WOULDN'T recommend? Doesn't WG care about our opinions???" - Yes, we do - and we have multiple processes weekly that the Community Managers do to round up feedback of all types and relay it upwards. This survey in particular was not one of those processes.
Hope that helps to understand
Welcome back, Captains!
Over the Holiday we held a contest encouraging you all to send us your creations for Holiday Cards! We received a boat-load of excellent submissions and ultimately came down to a winner that we all felt was very funny. Unfortunately, we were made aware that the winning submission may have been a bit too "copied" from another source and ran afoul of the intended rules of the contest.
Not wanting to be Grinches, we decided that the fault was on the NA office for not making explicitly clear the rules of the submissions. I blame the egg-nog. Because of this, we believe that it would not be the right thing to deny the initial winner their prizes, and have instead elected to vote on another winner and let you all know why each member of the staff came to their choice!
To this end, the WG NA Staff chose to elect the "WoWS Xmas Tree" Card submitted by "JoeChan918"

Thanks for your patience, dude. We had to go over the issue and see where it went wrong and why, then come up with a solution and decide how best to do it.
We've decided to choose a second winner with the same prizes as the previous. We read through the sentiment that the initial winner may have somewhat copied their submission from elsewhere, then we had a discussion about whether or not we made it clear enough what an "original submission" even means, then realized that this is exactly why bills and laws that go to Congress are a thousand pages long.
So we're going to vote internally on a winner amongst the NA staff and present you with our votes and why we chose them so you all can see how each of us determines what we like most! The submission that receives the most votes from the staff will be selected as the winner and receive the prizes. I will make a special post in this sub-forum to highlight that winner!

The OP is unhappy that we are selling the permaflage for a boat when he already linked another permaflage to it and is suggesting that we allow people to unlink the linkable permaflages.
If we did that, then you would only ever need to have 1 linkable permaflage. You can unlink it and relink it to another ship any time you wanted.
Of course not.
If you link a Perma-flage like the New Years or INfernal camos, you can always temporarily demount it to put on expendables or another permaflage.
I'm not Customer Service - if you intend to make a claim that we are acting maliciously and you ping me for a response - expect a reasonable level of pushback if you don't provide any examples / evidence.
It could happen in the future, but for now I don't believe there are any plans to make permanent camoflages that are permanently linked to ships un-linkable.
Tomorrow at work I will ask if there is a bug within the in-game survey that causes it to quit early.
I will also ask if someone has intentionally sabotaged the survey so that only good answers show up.
I will let you guys know.
And that would mean that something is broken - but to have the OP immediately suggest that it's because we "rigged" it to stop after negative responses is ludicrous and I'm not going to just let it slide.
You want a real answer from us? Ask a real question please.
Like you said, we represent the game - so why wouldn't I have a personal stake in how people address their issues?
I have been a player for 4 years - I hold myself to a certain level when I criticize the game's direction - I still do that now.
If a survey that should take 10 minutes is disappearing after a single question, then something is broken. If you are accusing of us doing it on purpose, then that means someone didn't do their job and purposefully made it so a survey stops after a negative response. That's a big accusation because it suggests that someone in the company is literally attempting to hide negative reviews. There are plenty of negative things people say on surveys so I highly doubt anyone has done something on purpose like that.
If you honestly think that is a real thing, and you're not just blowing off steam, then give me specifics in your OP next time so I can investigate.
Can you see what I mean by this?
Hiya,
So - #1, what survey are you talking about? All of them? Any one in particular? This is pretty broad and hard to answer.
#2 - When have we done this? Again, you are saying that we end surveys when something negative is said. That's not how surveys work, so I'd like to know what's making you feel this way.
#3 - "Didn't get past the 1st question" - again, what survey? Is it the in-game "Rate your last battle" one?
We give out surveys to get your opinions - good or bad. We don't set out to waste our own time so cutting a survey short because we got 1 bad answer isn't what we do.
So again... please point me to a specific example rather than just call us pathetic. I'm frankly very tired of things like these where people who are having bad days tag ahskance or myself with their anger over something they won't even give an example of. The NA CM team is working as hard as possible to be transparent and give you answers when we have t...
No, sir!
We are busy cleaning house and catching up on the events of the break over the holidays.
We'll be back for a Community Stream on January 12!
Exactly.
I love it when people see an action, understand the choice they are given, make their choice, and live with it.
I believe it's called "having integrity"
If we did that, they would cease to be "permanent" .
I understand your dilemma. I have maybe 6 perma-camos for my Bismarck. One of them is a camo that I "linked" to it. It's a bit of a bummer, but that's life. Now I have options.
You are under exactly zero obligation to purchase the Russian pack with permaflages in them. That choice is entirely yours!
We're discussing it internally now.
Standby please - we should be able to get an answer by tomorrow.
It only doesn't feel rewarding until you run out ...
HA!
Brother you've got more than I do - and I'm sitting on 1288!
