Uninstalling and reinstalling shouldn't have caused you to lose any progress since that's all saved on the servers, not locally. 


Did you unlink your Xbox account from the EA Account where you had originally linked it?

I'm afraid that's one of the effects of unlinking a platform account and connecting it with a different EA Account. In order to keep the account progress you would need to reconnect it back with the original EA Account.

Do you know if the loudness equalization option is also active in your Windows sound settings? If it's active in your Windows settings as well as your audio console I wonder if it might be causing some weird behavior. 

 

If you open up the Properties for your audio output device you should see the loudness equalization option under the Enhancements tab.

This most likely happened because of the Unshackled event ending earlier today. Like you mentioned, restarting the game should clear it up.
