I have been extra active the last few days, but there are lots of other folks who participate in the forums. We have a volume of issues and a lot of time an energy goes into addressing them. But Trevzor and Lux are always working super hard to support players sometimes that work is visible and sometimes it is internally.

I know it may feel that way, but everyone on the NW team cares about being more communicative, and building those predictable and reliable ways to keep our community informed and involved.

The challenge with forum responses is they often get lost in the mix quickly. I think they are valuable and we need to have a constant presence here, but I think building out a quality bug/issue tracker that is kept current and addressing top issues through dev blogs will be more impactful. We are aware of this feedback on communication and I agree there is a lot of room to improve, we are taking your feedback to heart and will work to do better.

Greetings Adventurers!

We were made aware of an issue on the Belovodyne server on US East, where a time skew happened. We put the world in maintenance and rolled back the world to approximately 4:55PM PT/7:55pm ET, before the issue occurred. No roll backs occurred to your characters. The server should be ready to accept players again at this time.

If you continue to see any issues please let us know and tell us what you’re experiencing so we can determine next steps.

This issue has been experienced on several servers, the team has investigated and are in the process of testing a fix, when ready that can be patched in to prevent future issues of this kind of occurring.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yes, the team is working hard on our top critical issues and as those get fully resolved we will be able to work through many other bugs.

No worries, I appreciate the call out. I think I did come off too harsh and i didn’t mean to. I love cool mounts as much as anyone else. But the pain likely comes from running around the same parts of the world over and over.
I want my Ultima Online Mining Beetle.

This is a solid perspective, thank you.

We haven’t discussed long term features or content yet, I don’t personally know what additional PvP specific things will come. But the Dev team definitely is aware of the desire for more incentives and rewards to PvP and the most common asks from PvP focused players.

People just want to make sure their perspective is heard and rally other folks to share their view. I understand if it is a topic you aren’t passionate about it can feel like channel noise, but it is easy enough to avoid those topics.
Anyone posting here probably really likes New World or sees a great potential in it. Otherwise, why would you invest your time in creating a forum account and posting. But maybe there are things we could do to make it more fun for you. Even the most ragey posts are trying, in their own way, to help make New World better. That is how I look at it.
When I read any feedback anywhere, I assume they want to make something better and try to understand the ask and do my best to see past the sometimes rough package that feedback arrives in. Haha, hope that makes sense.

No, not at all. I think there are two common reasons folks want mounts. The first is mounts are awesome, fun, and a way to express your character. And the other, which this thread digs into, which is traveling can take a long time and after a while might not be very fun for folks.
I feel like you added a lot of negative emotions to my words that I didn’t intend. I will try to be more concise so there is less room for misinterpretation.

Hey everyone, this thread was a really good read, lots of great feedback. I appreciate the thoughtful comments and input.
I feel like once you get past the shouts for mounts and really dig into the travel logistics and gameplay experience as it is currently, this discussion is really insightful.
Really appreciated!

100% spot on.

We have a Known Issues Thread and I do not like it.

I don’t have any updates or the ability to help you troubleshoot, sorry. CS is your best path.

I appreciate the words of support.

We do have a lot of issues we’re working on and there are countless specific things to provide updates on. I completely agree we need to elevate our communications and give deeper updates on the top issues the community wants to know about. I am sincerely working on it.

Game development is a very fluid environment at times. Sometimes you are making great strides and a last minute issue prevents progress. Generally, when you share information it is seen as a irreversible promise. We will share updates when it is appropriate.

When character transfers started we caught a persistence issue that wasn’t captured when QAing the feature so that must be addressed before continuing with transfers.
That is a very specific answer to a very specific problem, I am not sure I understand why you feel it is generic?

We have different teams working on different problems.

We are aware of these issues and the team is working to get them addressed. unfortunately, the fix we deployed for Outpost Rush today didn’t properly solve all the issues and we are continuing that work.
I understand this is frustrating, please in the future do your best not to be insulting toward the team when communicating your concerns or feedback.

We are experiencing issues with Outpost Rush and working to get them resolved. Any issue that exists has a group of people working to get it addressed. We want to successfully resolve an issue with our first deployment but we have encountered issues that require us to work on it further to get it right. I understand that is frustrating to see.

Hey folks, I appreciate the feedback and the ask for more transparency. We take this feedback to heart and historically it has been something we’ve been very good at.
Our goal is to improve our communication at scale. This means finding ways to reach more people rather than only comments in threads that get lost very quickly.
Since launch our team has been working extremely hard to tackle as many critical issues that emerge as possible. You can see that we’re working around the clock on patches and hotfixes, server resets, down times and maintenance across all the various servers and regions, etc.
This isn’t to say your feedback isn’t correct, I agree we need to improve communication, but it is to explain that because the kitchen is so busy the dining hall is feeling unattended. I hear that and we’re working to get meaningful communication in place.
We want to dig into more dev blogs, more articles touching on hot topics, and more ways for you to talk with the De...
