Hey folks, we hear the ask, we really do.
I have shared our current perspective on PvP servers.
I will discuss with the team further.
If there is a decision to start providing servers with unique PvP rule sets we will communicate it.
For now, it is not our intention to launch PvP servers. Our vision is to have PvP and PvE coexist in the world.

If I understand the discussions you want to have about Combat, you are talking about design and balance and not so much bug and things working as unintended.
Right now, we have so many critical bugs and things not working as intended that those issues tend to get the focus right now.
But this would be a great subject for a dedicated dev blog from the team.

There seems to be a lot of confusion on the role of Community.

The Community Team spends a huge amount of time with the Dev team, discussing feedback and issues, drafting updates on issues, preparing patch notes, meeting with research and data to generate more comprehensive feedback reporting to help the team prioritize, and tackling a lot more. Our team is also responsible Social Media, Editorial, Creator Relations, and support with Marketing and Partnerships.

We do not have any volunteers, in fact most labor laws make using volunteers extremely limited, though smaller companies often violate those laws.

I understand that folks want more detailed news in the form of articles and dev blogs. We hear you and we’re working on it.

I also understand it is extremely tempting to insult staff when you are frustrated, they are on the clock and can’t really punch back. But we do our best to treat everyone here with respect and we expect the same.

All issues with War, including the Ice Gauntlet lag exploit, are a top priority for the team. We have a fix that we are finalizing testing on and once it is ready we’ll ship it. We want to have this solve in a matter of days, not weeks. When we have an exact release day/time we will announce it.

You definitely can have multiple top priorities, especially when different teams are tackling different issues. For example a data persistence issue wouldn’t be tackled by the same team working on Outpost Rush bugs. Game studios are often made up of different teams with different areas of focus.

This is a violation of our TOS and we’re actively removing these accounts from the game.
The team is also working on a variety of approaches to improve the efficiency of the removal of these accounts.

I will follow up with the team to see if this is a bug or by design.

That decisions has not been made yet, I believe the teams are discussing exactly what data it uses and any future plans for it.

Hello, the official stance of the team is that while we don’t encourage this behavior it is also not considered an exploit or cheat. We do understand the situation and the team is working on ways to potentially address it.

We are aware of the critical exploits and issues with War, addressing them is a top priority for our team. We have fixes for these issues and we are finalizing testing. Once ready they will be shipped, my understanding is if they aren’t ready for the weekly patch we will ship them as soon as they are ready. We understand the impact and urgency to fix these problems. Thanks for your patience as we work to solve these problems.

I totally understand that looking for NW Team responses in threads is not how most folks expect to find updates. While we have been active in the forums, we aren’t yet doing a good job of providing meaty updates in Dev Blogs and the News section. We are working to improve in that area, thanks for the feedback.

Roadmaps are tricky, for sure. Game development is a fluid environment and sharing plans and goals can be seen as promises. Some folks react very strongly to change, even if you tell them to expect it.

We are currently reviewing that mini map mod and I believe Overwolf probably jumped the gun on communicating an outcome publicly. It is likely they realized it was premature to announce an outcome and removed it.

We are working toward a weekly patch, once we have a confirmed release window we’ll post an announcement.

Update:
Resolving this persistence issue and re-enabling server transfers is a top priority for the team.
We want to make this available again as soon as possible. We will share updates when we have reliable timing for when this can be released.
Thank you everyone for your patience.

The server transfer is also a top priority for us, we are working to get the persistence issue resolved and reactivate transfers as soon as possible. Hopefully it is a matter of days, not weeks, before they are made available again.

The bugs with War, specifically the Ice Gauntlet lag and invulnerability exploits are a top priority for the team, we have fixes for them and are finishing testing.

Haha, I think you are wise to call out that we have to frame expectations.
I think being predictable and consistent in how and where we communicate will prevent folks from expecting me to be aware of an involved in all threads.
I am working with Trevzor and Lux on establishing communication mechanisms that work at scale and can be regular ways to stay updated.
