Not saying I disagree, but presence isn’t the only stat worth tracking. Certain champs struggle to be played because of the strength of picks like Lucian. Without getting picked or ban, the threat of it still impacts draft.
I mean we're in a metagame where ADC/support is picked 1-3 very frequently. The second that red team picks Lulu/Zeri or Thresh/Aphelios on 1-2, blue team knows that they're not facing Lucian.
This is not a rare occurrence.
Thanks for the insight. Is the global data, or western only? Seems like she's more present in the west than in the east
Zeri's highest presence league (among the top 4) is LPL. Her lowest is LEC.
I typically measure LCK-LPL-LEC-LCS for pro trends. If done without weighting, this mostly measures LCK-LPL due to how many more games they play, but they're also the strongest leagues. If LPL and LCK ever agree on something, that champion just shoots to the moon, especially since other pro players around the world largely look to those leagues for inspiration (read: copying).
please tell me you have changes for karma lined up. she has a similar winrate to lulu who was target nerfed, yet karma hasn’t been nerfed in like 2 years. she feels pretty weak into the now tank support meta. and as you said, isn’t pro dominant right now. she just needs a little love for her mid to late game, as any buff to her early would make her pro skewed again.
We're not in a tank support meta. Support prio in 13.5 top regions:
Tanks are simply viable.
yeah zeri needs to go, but lucian nami has been meta much much longer than zeri, and remains pick/ban since last yr....
Lucian has 41% presence in top leagues on 13.5. It was sub-50% in 13.4, too.
So by pick/ban do you mean "exists in champion select"? Because I think that's a good thing for Lucian. Do you mean 80%+ presence? Cuz that's not even close to true.
You mean Lucian Nami or Jinx Lulu? The only other botlanes ever played the last year and this year?
Botlane meta is f**king atrocious and toxic altogether
Lucian and Jinx are both below Aphelios and Xayah in pick rate and presence across 13.5 in top leagues.
Y'all can't even recite objectively measurable data correctly.
Hi, so I've personally been very involved in not nerfing her. Here's why:
We're in one of the more diverse metagames right now. Outside of specific points in time, (Ashe Support until 13.5, Lucian during 13.1, Caitlyn during 13.3, Annie during 13.4) there haven't been any bot laners over 80% presence. That's really good. Compared to some previous tournaments, we have about as many bot laners (ADCs) with 10%+ presence on every single patch as Worlds had last year, which was generally regarded as a high point for diversity. We have had no 100% pick/ban ADCs at any point either, which also trumps MSI 2022. So while Zeri has been a fixture of bottom lane for sure, she's almost never been the dominant option and has never been so strong that both teams vie for her every game. That said, she has finally crossed 80% for the first time during 13.5.
I'm pretty against playing whack-a-mole with the pro meta during the regular season. Two primary reasons:
We get to see...
Read moreSo i must be blind then? Before durability patch you never saw zac or maokai's building demonic first 2 items? Wonder why this is, cant be that resistances give diminicing returns and all free armor and mr made HP as a stat more valuable?
Thats what i meant when i said HP alone without bought resistances is more valuable now than before, and zeri also got bonus armor from durability patch.
Understand now?
????????? Demonic Zac has been good for ages. I have a two year old video hyping up like four different demonic bruisers. You’re just only responding to seeing what’s become popular.
Idk, they thought that some random ass +2s upkeep on Q will make a difference for her when she lost 20S cd on her ultimate and her main poke tool's damage got nerfed?
I mean I'm super glad they nerfed Ashe support because it's way too obnoxious, but they definitely didn't think long about "compensation" buffs for her ADC version.
Some people said that she needs to scale stuff with crit - I disagree because her on-hit build is quite popular. Perhaps if they made some attack speed scallings it would be good? Ashe support doesn't build any AS items anyway
Ashe support lost like 2.5% and ADC lost under 1%. I'd say the compensation buffs were aimed pretty well considering how much support was affected.
ADC Ashe is above 49%.
Damn, 30 some resistances is broken now? Orianna support, here I come.
Orianna support is legit good.
Were the Ashe Q activation requirement changes pulled?
Yes
"If you're a Yuumi player and you're watching this, dog, this feels really good."
I feel like Phreak doesn't really understand Yuumi's whole thing. She's not a dog. She's a cat.
See, I thought that as I said it and decided to just run with it.
Patch notes aren't written by designers?! Now I feel lied to everytime I read the context for a buff/nerf :(
I write context statements. I don't write the summaries.
How will nashors ever be good on him when he can’t proc the on hit? Is it really the intention to make nashors a staple item on azir when he is unable to use half of it?
It can easily be good on him even without applying on-hit effects.
It provides a lot of ability power and attack speed. If those stats are both in demand, the item is good.
Like I know I'm slightly oversimplifying your point but it's actually that easy.
Sorry for the typo :(
All your fault.
But the feel of it will be underwhelming imo. Overall I like this as a start but let us have that dps lategame power.
I would love some damage reduction on W and adding some attack speed passive on his R, but I'm low elo so maybe I'm not the best to give feedback on this.
Edit: Also correct me if I'm wrong but in your spreadsheets on youtube you compare dps without the 3 soldiers passive
Yeah this is ignoring W3, admittedly. But also if Nashor’s is optimal you’ll have higher attacks/sec than before.
Hey phreak jw when top lane gets to be a role again instead of a spectator position
We are targeting some role power shift stuff for 13.6
He will also feel like shit to play with no attack speed.
Pretty sad he lost all that attack speed. I always saw him as the late game stabby, stabby guy instead of blowing people up with Q/Ult.
W DPS is roughly flat (lower early, high late). His W power budget mostly hasn't moved.
Disagreed, in their own quote “he’s OP” except his win rate doesn’t match that claim dude is a 49% win rate. On top of that his AP build is beyond easy to counter. His E is his only physical spell so any of the spell shield items neuter him without even discussing the other MR items. It’s a classic reach because people who refuse to adapt their build to the enemy team complain.
AP Twitch Mid and Bot are both overpowered. He's roughly balanced at support.
R cooldown increased early, decreased late
This is just not true for ashe...
It's increased at Rank 1, increased at Rank 2, and the same at Rank 3. It's never decreased.
Cooldown: 80/70/60 ⇒ 100/80/60
Damn, missed this when reviewing my sections of the patch notes. Summary sentences are added pretty late (not by the designers, typically) so I guess I overlooked this. =[
