All servers will be brought down on February 16 at 11:59 PM PT (February 17 at 7:59 AM UTC) for an update. Downtime is estimated to last approximately 3 hours.

This patch will include the following updates:

  • Fixed an issue where Royal Crystal refunds can get stuck pending when using the currency Exchange.
  • Made improvements to store connection and Product Inventory issues.
  • Fixed an issue where Procyon’s compass schedule could show an incorrect time for Adventure Islands.
  • Fixed an issue where dyeing the Northern Lawmaker skin on any Warrior sub-class would prevent the skin from displaying properly.
  • Fixed an issue where emoticons would be displayed as text when two players with different language settings were chatting.
  • Fixed an issue with DX11 where the UI Scale becomes offset for after changing from native resolutions while in Full Screen.

I totally understand the frustration – for what it’s worth, we are also very much going to be having a lot more fun when things are stable and our players are happier. :slight_smile:

This has to do with all of the stability issues surrounding the EU server, but the team is working on a fix while we continue to work on and mitigate that stability.

Just for clarity, the reason this happens when an item is purchased and consumed from the product inventory is because a Steam refund will revoke the “DLC” pack from your account, but not the items from your inventory in-game – there is not a way to do this through a Steam refund, which means that this would be a highly abusable system where folks could constantly refund, get money back, and keep everything they purchased.

You will not be banned if you get a refund on an item that is still in your product inventory. All opinions and feedback are free to be shared, but I wanted to shed some light onto why this system is in place.

Right now, the team is still operating in 24/7 launch mode. I know that downtimes have not always been ideal for folks, but we are working to get things out as fast as possible at the moment so we can reach a stable state.

There seems to be confusion here about the purpose of today’s earlier downtimes as well as this hotfix/maintenance, so I would like to try to clear things up. This was not included in last night’s maintenance because it stemmed from there in the first place.

Following last night’s hotfix, an issue was uncovered in that build that required us to do rolling restarts on servers in order to keep them in a good place and avoid bigger problems later on. The short “downtimes” that happened earlier today were these restarts that helped keep the game in a good state until we received a new build to fix the issue – these were not individual maintenances, just restarts.

Now we have received the build that will resolve these problems so that we do not have to continue to do server restarts, which is why we are putting it in place now, as soon as possible.

I know maintenance windows aren’t ideal right now, but please keep in mind the team is still fully operating 24/7 in launch mode right now which means we are moving things along as quickly as possible to achieve stability.
