I expect many to say yes to this question! We did a Dev Discussion on an adjacent topic, and many players felt they wanted to "normal," or rather not "the savior" of the universe <3

My topic has nothing to do with the ability for attackers to assess a caravans capabilities. I don't mind if the attackers can't see it till cast, all I care about is that something happens when he ability is cast similarly to a person casting a spell. Something happening is all that I want, instead of what currently is in place where the ability just happens there is no "cast"



It might be helpful to try to reiterate your idea, or what you're asking for!

Perhaps if you can come up with an additional 1 or 2 examples of what you're talking about (similar to the flower = healing idea), with some arguments as to why these ideas would be nice to see, you might start some new thoughts or discussions in the thread!

I already see a few - But are there current systems that you think do this well, that you'd like to tell us more about?

Perhaps you can identify what aspects of similar systems that exist in other games can improve upon?

I'm curious OP, are there any problems you see with this idea? Perhaps the same as other's have pointed out, or any that you can think of?

Are there any other ways in which you think the problem you feel could be solved? Perhaps it's worth dissecting the core of your concern further <3

First of all, as @NiKr said to answer the OP's question, Ashes of Creation will have it's own launcher :)

Has Intrepid said anything about their outside of game plans for their games.

Will they just go through steam?
Will they do a launcher like Bnet?
Will they have some weird online system for your account like the Mog Station?

I know WoW is just a shadow of what it used to be, but I did really like the clean and easy game/account management of the Bnet launcher... Before Activision infected it anyways.

This is a super neat thread. Love the proposal of theory crafting while we wait for more Tulnar news to drop. I love the suggestions and interpretations people are bringing for the Tulnar. I hope to see more contributions to this thread, with lots of thoughts and ideas! Especially with the prompts that @Solvryn provided :)

There are a few different interpretations of what the Tulnar could be, so even this one is interesting!

I'm personally not the biggest fan of thinking of WoW as the MMORPG above all, that needs usurping. Sure, people only have so much time and they'll dedicate that time to the games they enjoy, and sometimes that becomes the most accessible, easy-to-play, or most popular game, and that's ok!

Everyone at Intrepid is setting out to make the best possible MMORPG that we can, and the one we all want to play. However, it's not going to be for everyone, which is ok! As long as we have a community that enjoys the game, and we're able to keep it going, we win! Of course, it would be wonderful if Ashes of Creation becomes the next most popular MMORPG! Though, we don't necessarily need to dethrone or kill another game to be successful :)

This is just my own personal 2 cents on the matter. I'd be curious to hear how you all feel about this! <3

Both small and large guilds will have parts to play in PvP such as node sieges :)
