To expand on NegativeConsequences's comment: When the server starts up it advertises its settings to the Steam server list. In this case, for example, it may have advertised it was a PvE server. When you went to join it, however, it reported to your client that it was actually configured as the opposite (PvP in the example). We don't manually flag servers for this, but the client will disconnect if it happens to help avoid a frustrating realization later. It's possible the server is using a plugin that changed the PvE/PvP mode without updating the advertisement.

Haha thank you for your kind words and longtime support Karmallamah! I'm honored that it features in your adolescent memories. :)

Nice job on the text animations, they're really slick! I didn't like the sudden volume spike though. You have a nice voice and I'd suggest using your own voice instead of the AI one in the future!

EDIT: The campaign for the SDGNelson Plushie on Makeship has ended. Since the campaign goal was met, these are estimated to start shipping out on October 22, 2024! Once they ship, its estimated to take 7-15 days to arrive. Some regions may take 10-30 days. Thank you for your support!

Hey, everyone! There’s only one week left to pick up the SDGNelson Plushie from Makeship. We’ve almost reached the order funding threshold – thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far!

The plush is only available for a limited time, so make sure to get yours before the campaign ends:

Have you already read any official guides/documentation, such as https://docs.smartlydressedgames.com/en/stable/servers/server-hosting.html ?

Install the mod/map to your server via the WorkshopDownloadConfig.json file. Use the Map command to your server's Commands.dat file to load your desired map.

Definitely something that could really get rid of a lot of toxicity and cheaters but more so give people that tight nit community that some corners of the Server browser are sorely lacking in. Aside from that it does create quite the challenge on the advertising side of things but at the end of the day its a "Community Style" it seems.

P.s.
Loved the 10Yr Anniversary Post Btw, your game is quite literally my favorite game going through my early 20's because of its features and community and asset support. Keep Up the amazing work!

Thank you for your kind words! ^_^

It depends how wide the game window is. If it's below a certain width it will put the nearby section at the bottom so that wide storage doesn't require a horizontal scroll bar.

This sounds like a cool idea. Best wishes with your server and community! Requiring approval before joining seems like it will help weed out cheaters and griefers.

Reflecting on ten (TEN!) years of Unturned.

I like to think I’m usually pretty good about not procrastinating. I typically get started on tasks as soon as possible. As a boring example, I have all of my taxes ready by early February – three or so months before they’re due.

In the case of Unturned’s 10th anniversary I started thinking about it all the way back in December of last year. At first I was imagining interviewing as many people from the game’s history as I could, or writing an account of everything that’s happened, or something to really...

Notes posted alongside preview branch changelog on June 26th.

All pre-existing vehicles should continue to function normally with this update! If you find that’s not the case, I’d greatly appreciate your filing a report.

When setting out to work on vehicle physics, the first obvious problem was the huge number of vehicle variants whose only difference was color. Previously, the physics would need to be tuned on each separate vehicle variant, which was tedious and error-prone. It’s a shame that 3.0 didn’t carry over the dynamic vehicle colors from 2.0, but better late than never! I merged 149 vehicle variants down to 23, leaving us with 63 distinct vanilla vehicles to work on. This was accomplished by adding a ...

  1. You can add Player Clip volumes from the Volumes tab, from within the editor. Use these to make your map border.

  2. Yes – you can disable the legacy/default water similar to how you disabled borders. Then you can manually add your own Water volumes from within the map editor.

You can disable the border from your map's config file, and then manually add a new one using volumes from within the editor.

Vehicle spawn points all have an equal chance of being chosen (if there isn't already a vehicle on top of the spawn point).

The default cap for an Insane-sized map is 64 vehicles. (32 for large, 16 for medium, 8 for small, and 4 for tiny.) If you have 100 vehicle spawn points, and you haven't adjusted the cap, you're definitely running into the cap before every vehicle spawnpoint is utilized.
