    • New Talent: Master Shapeshifter – Your abilities are amplified based on your current shapeshift form, granting an additional effect.
      • Bear Form – Ironfur grants 30% additional armor and generates 2,500 mana (at level 70).
      • Cat Form – Rip, Ferocious Bite, and Maim deal 60% additional damage and generate 10,000 mana (at level 70) when cast with 5 combo points.
      • Moonkin Form – Wrath, Starfire, and Starsurge deal 30% additional damage and generate 2,500 mana (at level 70).
    • New Talent: Grove Guardians – Summons a Treant which will immediately cast Swiftmend on your current target. The Treant will cast Nourish on that target or a nearby ally periodically. Lasts 15 seconds. Maximum 3 charges. Replaces Nourish.

In response to player feedback and internal data, we’ve developed the following class tuning changes to address several over- and under-performing classes.

These adjustments will be applied to the live game with scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, July 25 in this region.

Testing Focus

With our build update today, we’ve brought the WoW Classic Hardcore PTR realm back online. We encourage testers to resume their adventures on this realm. Please don’t forget to report any issues you see using the in-game Bug Reporter!

Bug Fixes and Adjustments

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to resurrect dead hardcore characters that were logged out for a certain amount of time in rested XP areas.

We appreciate everyone’s participation in our Brawl with the Blues event last Friday.

We got a lot of great data from that playtest, and even discovered two major issues that we were able to identify and fix due directly to everyone’s participation.

We previously planned to hold another Brawl with the Blues event tomorrow, but we need some more time to work on our algorithms, so we’re now planning to hold the next playtest on August 4, 2023 at 02:00 p.m. PDT.

The WoW Classic team wants to again stress how appreciative we are for your assistance in helping us make this new Honor system the best it can be.

DRAGONRIDING

• CHALLENGE COURSE
  • As you adventure across the Dragon Isles, test your dragonriding race skills with the new Challenge Course. How well can you fare without resource generation?
  • New Challenge Courses in each zone will unlock weekly, first in the Waking Shores, then Ohn’ahran Plains, the Azure Span, Thaldraszus, the Forbidden Reach, and finally Zaralek Cavern. Once unlocked, each set of courses will remain permanently available.
    • Developers note: Challenge courses are now available in the Waking Shores and Ohn’ahran Plains.

UPDATED JULY 20

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Brawl with the Blues event last week. It was a lot of fun and it was great to jump in and get schooled by all of you.

Thanks to you, we identified a bug in the new system that was preventing HKs from properly granting Honor in real time. We now believe that we’ve fixed that bug.

To make sure we’ve got everything fixed, we’d like for you to join us again on Friday, August 4 for Brawl with the Blues Part Two, to help us gather more data and to everything is working as expected at scale.

As with our last Brawl, we plan to have some fun with things*.

We’ll see you on the PvP test realm at 2:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, August 4.

We’re bringing the PTR down in the next few minutes, so that we can deploy some fixes to it – primarily we’re going to apply a fix for the issue where players aren’t receiving Honor as expected.

The Honor that testers will receive should be a rough estimate and not accurate, however, further Honor gains in the test environment should be accurately counted.

We expect to bring the PTR back online later this evening.

Added to OP:

Holy Paladin is overperforming in all content in Fractures of Time. We are targeting a global decrease of healing and damage as we are not looking to change preferred playstyles, but Tyr’s Deliverance will also be receiving additional adjustments as this talent in particular has been more effective than we would like.

Holy Paladins’ mana pools have been more plentiful than we would like in PvP. We’re targeting their base Mana regeneration to encourage player engagement with the variety of mana talents available.
