We should try to get away from calling it a heat map, and call it an activity map, for the sake new players not getting confused when screamers come for activities that don’t put out much heat in the thermal sense.

Anyway, I think gamestage is the most important mechanic for new players to understand. Gamestage is a number the game computes that’s directly related to your player level, and it dictates what zombies you’ll face as well as what loot you’ll find. Raising your XP gain in the options is, for most people, not going to make the game easier. And if you find some cheap/unbalanced/artificial way to make a ton of XP fast, you’ll likely only hurt yourself. The game is designed to work with your rate of progress, whatever it may be. You get ahead of the curve through efficiency, not by inflating your XP.

If the player could only make One forge, then yeah, the 'issue' has some merit. But this is a game with building/tower defense game where you can expand your base and add as many forges as you want.

It'd be like going over to Factorio and complaining that a single starter smelter doesn't smelt at 1,000 ingots per second to carry you through to the end game without having to make a second- It's an argument that just doesn't fit when the game gives the player the ability to build more any time they feel constrained.

Or to keep it in 7DTD, to comp... Read more

If anything, it'd be more likely for crafting times to increase. But personally, I think it's fine as is. You can always add a second forge, or a third, or a seventh, provided you use them in moderation and dont leave it running 24/7 to attract screamers.

Internally those are items so they have the same properties to set prices as regular items.

do they need to put the password everytime they wanna open that door or 1 time only?
It should be one time only, but may be once each time they log in, unsure which.

It is?!? Name one triple-A game that spent seven years in Alpha.

Look, don't get me wrong - I love the game. But I loved it just as much 3 years ago. A little polish at that point and it's at least ready for Beta.

What I suspect is that the game did so well as an early access release the d...

Game is still being developed. Also it's a fully 3D Voxel game. If you put graphics that would compare with newer AAA titles designed for 4k screens in it, the minimum spec to play would be a R9-3950x or better, 64GB RAM, and a RTX 3090 TI.

7 years of development is right in line with the norm for AAA titles with larger development teams. The difference is that you've been able to play since Day 1 of Alpha instead of not even seeing it at CES until after they are in Beta and have a solid release window.

All those things from the kickstarter will be in the game when it is finished. If you can't wait for that, go do something else.

Yes, a number of people have made this mistake. And yes, It will tear down everything and restore the POI to it's original condition- All removed blocks replaced, all added blocks removed.

If you ever get a quest to the POI your base is in, just follow this simple rule:

Do NOT Interact With The Exclamation Point.
The POI is only reset upon activation of the quest by activating the exclamation marker at the quest location. You can always abandon a quest after accepting it but before activating it if it's for your base.

Also, Place a land claim and bed roll in your chosen base, and it should never get selected for a quest to begin with. The land claim is particularly important.

Another strong possibility is improperly updating from A18 or before to A19.X. This has been the cause of the no trader bug for many people.

Follow the steps outlined here to do a full proper clean reinstall/update, and see if the issue persists.

Erm, Where did you get the idea that it is rated Teen? The official rating on ESRB.org is Mature.

Nudity. Many YouTuber's stream this game and don't want to be demonitized every time a stripper comes on the screen. There are also women and parents who play this game, that object to their children seeing nudity and objectifying women.
Well, no.. It was primarily replaced because Stripper zombies just don't fit in most of the POI's in the game; Party girls you might expect to find at just about ... Read more

For me night time is when I hit the POI's. During the day is when I do my building. Mining can happen any time, but I usually don't bother with it until after the second week when I've got a basic base started.

Pressure plate is spam craftable. The air filter mine however you cannot craft the Air Filter part, so it is the most expensive to craft and obtain any given quantity of them by far.

Arranged in order of least to most damage, Also keep in mind that this comment is included in the XML file by the Entity Damage value"":

Pressure Plate Mine:

Candy Tin:

Cooking Pot:

Hub Cap:

Air filter:

Edit: and yes, The air filter does the most. The Air Filter Landmine does so much damage that you cannot survive it even with maxed steel armor and a level 100+ character (EG: 200 hp and as much armor value as you can get.)
