In the current game, the player character is a worse swimmer than the zombies, and you have to breathe while they don't. So I don't see the advantage.

Sure it takes a day or 2 to loot higashi but if you were to just go after the cream of the crop loot like the stuff on the ro...

I mean, Ultimately, You're investing time and resources to kill all the zombies and loot the building, and then time and resources to kill all the zombies and loot it again- You can consider that double dipping to be OP, but, It's not terribly different from killing and looting building A, then walking 30 blocks to building B and killing and looting that one too. Saves you what, 15 seconds?

The quest resets ensure there is always a steady source of any given material, even in long running multiplayer servers where after the first week or two with 4-8 players, basically everything in the map will have been dismantled leaving nothing for anyone who joins later.

The resources it gives you access to aren't even difficult to find, You can get to day 100+ with ease off of stripping down a single city without ever doing a quest- You can go door to door to door killing the zombies and stripping out the electrical and mechanical parts and achieve basically the same thin... There actually is a forced cooldown on repeating a quest at a given location. It's somewhat short though. Quest and quest reward balance is liable to have a new pass with the inclusion and expansion of NPC's though. Currently it's all just trader quests, but there's a strong possibility that quests will be more granular and less grindable than it is currently.

Neat idea..Not sure if a grappling hook is technically feasible without redoing a bunch of physics stuff, but, given that the old spider zombies used to crawl up walls, climbing gloves might be possible. Would probably have a hefty stamina cost for balance though..

Probably not. If you profile the game, it shows neither one of those things as issues. We plan on continuing to optimize the slower parts of the game, not parts that already run fast enough.

I fuel up a couple Gyrocopters and just fly around until the morning starts. Usually one fuel tank is enough for the whole night but by the time my gamestage is high enough for a few Gyros I've already got some spares with full tanks in my pocket ready to go.

It works, and it prevents a bunch of hassle if you're feeling lazy.

What’s the vulture situation like with this approach?

This is in afaik, and will allow for distant chunks to show changes, like player bases, or building and terrain blown up. It still needs tested and verified, and might get disabled if its too slow or buggy, but hopefully launches in A20 as I think it will be a nice touch and seeing your base in the distance will be awesome.

I'd like to have that, not sure when we can get it in though.

I think the plan is to get rid of the burnt forest as it's own biome, and make the wasteland have burnt forest areas, but I could be wrong and it might stay. The wasteland hasn't had any love yet that we plan to do.

I'm not sure what is planned yet, but I'm sure we will continue them soon or when we feel like there is enough new content to warrant a showing.

We've recently completed concept art of upcoming bandits, which will come in weak, medium and strong versions for variety and game staging, and they look reall

O-Ohh... It would likely be WAAAAY more efficient to sell the rounds to the trader and then smelt the resultant dukes. But, I guess that IS in fact a way to get brass.

That has not happened yet. A20 is on 2019.4.17, but may get another update if any good fixes happen before we get to experimental.

Yeah it looks like the current store screenshots are more focused on the new graphics, lighting, and textures. The best way to do that is to show examples of them. But how is that a problem exactly? I suppose if somebody was browsing and had no idea what the game was about and only looked at the pictures, the...

There's not really any easy way to just get tons of brass. The radiator blocks in buildings also can be smelted, there's a book that lets you get doorknobs from most POI doors, and you can smelt duke tokens 1:1; but, Brass is a scarce resource in comparison to lead and such.

Because some people (like myself) loathe leaving even a scrap of paper behind in a POI. And in larger ones like T4 and T5 POI's, that can mean 3-6+ trips back and forth to get absolutely everything.

But, Imo, that's a decision on my part. The intended path is to take what you need, scrap what can be scrapped, and move on. You're meant to have to make decisions on what to keep and what to pass on.. So given that, it's unlikely they'll ever allow picking up a filled chest by any method.

And then there's peeps who go out and loot 2-8+ buildings in a row before going home, which encounters a similar issue.
