On the subject of healthy relationships if you want a healthy relationship you have to talk to us you cannot just not ignore real feedback and you have to address the current issues in the game you cannot just throw a tantrum because we are being critical. Most of the critical comments are actually fair criticisms that actually would help the company grow to be a better studio for now I have uninstalled the game and the project lead needs to make an apology and giving money to some one like ninja and then calling us freeloaders doesn't really help when that could go to development.
I'd say half this community knows a couple things about game design because they have been playing video games for 10+ years and me personally I have played video games for 20+ years, helped be a participant in the alpha test for ...

Ayyyyyyy 👉😎👉
It's all running off an Arduino Pro Micro - there's a couple of thumbsticks, a handful of buttons and a 6DOF accelerometer/gyro built in for motion controls. It's got a few tricks built in that you can't see in this clip, like the button on the back plate that aims down sight when I push it into my shoulder, or the shoe that triggers an ultra when I take it off the leg. This clip shows it off a bit better!
Hahaha it's impressive how well you can aim with that thing. How do you map the 6DOF input to aim input? Is it just yaw and pitch or do you take left/right motion into account? Also do you have to reload the shoe ultimate (sole-timate?) to use it again? XD
I guess you've got a leg up on your opponents
Srsly tho that's a really cool project, what tech did you use?
Love it! New lock screen for me!
Ditto!
Oof, a mistake you only make once
Oh man you straight up Wile E. Coyote'd
I wasn’t a believer in solos during playtest but after multiple top 5s with no Ws this weekend I’ve definitely come around..
Awesome clips. That was satisfying to watch, especially that flank at artillery
Agreed! OP knows when to be patient and when to push like there's no tomorrow
Chivalry isn't dead!
Nice
Nobody is demanding free things. People are asking for things to be reasonably priced and to not be forced to gamble for skins and if you guys still don't understand that I don't know what else we can say.
In this thread alone, literally multiple people asked for skins to be earnable via challenges, aka free
I don’t mind dishing out money to support the team, I love the product and the work put into it. What bothers me is the price gouging. The extras shouldn’t be free, but it absolutely should not cost $20 per skin. That’s just price gouging. I would probably have spent $150+ bucks at this point if skins were $5-10 a piece. My money is mine to spend on the hobbies I love so I’d like to sink it into this game and support what you guys have created. I just wish the prices made sense at all.
You spend your money however you feel is fair. I don't mind. It's all part of how the economics of a free game is calculated.
With respect to the "price gouging", it also bugs me when people kick and scream that things are too expensive. Let's say the skins are indeed too expensive- does that give people license to kick and scream and call us "greedy f*cks"?
I mean, I think a lot of things are overpriced but I don't yell at people about it.
TLDR: "this thing is too expensive so I won't buy it" is ok "This thing is too expensive so f*ck you greedy f*cks" is not ok
If you think that's even close to representing what the bulk of the community is saying, you're simply not listening or intentionally misrepresenting their position.
I mean, I read all the posts and that stuff was definitely out there. Watch the ign video that was posted a couple of days ago, it specifically says that they wanted to earn cosmetics via challenges. That sentiment was not uncommon.
The thing that makes me angry personally is all the people demanding more free stuff in this free update. Solos is free. The map update is free. The challenges and rewards are free. Asking for more on top of that seems pretty f*cked up.
I read the subreddit a lot. I love seeing people enjoying the game, and I make notes of the things I see such as which parts of the map players like, how they use the character abilities, and any bugs they encounter.
Big thanks to all the players who like the game enough that they're willing to follow and participate in the community :)
I hope all this negativity won't scare players away from sharing their clips and feedback!
Also thanks to the players who say things respectfully, like "I like the skins but they're too expensive for me." It hurts to see things like "Oh.. Well I guess you can also remember when developers werent money grabbing f***s that scammed there players too" .. it's not very nice :(
This isn't a company-approved comment. It's 4am and I've just finished playing way too many rounds of Squad with my mates.
It's just me, Deco, a human who likes making games and is lucky to be at a good company of good humans.

I think technically I was calling gamers dicks? I dunno. I had a spicy lunch, feelin' it.
So yeah, he did imply that we were ass-hats and saying so otherwise is just you being pedantic and dishonest. However, the second quote is even more abhorrent. He's literally calling gamers dicks and thinks it's funny because it's "spicy". He comes across like a juvenile fool. I'm completely at a loss as to how you can defend this.
EDIT: Also can't forget this one - Hey everyone - fo...
It's not pedantry. If you're an ass to to developers, you're an ass-hat. If not, you're not. It's dishonest to believe any developer would engage a community they thought were all ass-hats.
It's unfortunate Drew had to read and chose to respond to such insanely disrespectful posters. I couldn't say how I'd feel in his position, but I can't defend responding to the hate filled individuals.
I just think it's hilarious that people are still white knighting them.
I bet we'll see a temporary increase of dev comments in non-hate threads like fan art to seem like they care.
Edit: Thanks for
couplemany nasty PM. Sorry for conceptualizing the idea a big company such as Respawn/EA would try use Reddit threads to lighten their reputation during a period where they are taking a lot of flack for their poor pricing ideas and bad responses. Here are some of the other said responses, hence why tension is high https://imgur.com/a/pApjcD9
Edit: I responded to another user who was getting flack about a joke he made and by no means was this a stab directly at the dev but everyone here sees what they want to see. I've "been here long enough to remember when
playersusers weren't complete ass-hats" to opinions and speculations.
Just complemented a nice picture on the internet, no more no less. I thought it was neat so I dropped a like. Simple as that :)
That is an awesome rendition of Wattson. Would love to see Wraith in this style of you ever draw her :)
Really nice job!

Hi, hey, listen. I get that you don’t know anyone from the studio personally, that we might as well be evil robots or trained murder pigeons or whatever, for all you know. But if your takeaway from the last six months of Apex is “these diabolical lying money geniuses know exactly what they’re doing to surgically extract our soul cash”, then oh buddy.
Personal opinion here, from a grunt in the trenches: the last project this team put out was a $60 box product (that I love!). I assumed we were stuck doing that until the heat death of the universe, but lo’ and behold: Apex. I am super proud of the leadership & business teams for getting us from the “$60 at the door or gtfo nerds” sales model to “$0 to play, no P2W, cosmetics and battlepass keep the lights on”. Obviously we don’t have it all to a science yet, but I got to work on gameplay stuff today that everyone will play for free in X weeks/months and that’s cool.
Anyhow. Drew and Jay are being hone...
