So if I would like my second gun to get the attachments, I should make sure I holster my guns when it is out, is that correct?
Should be the case, yup!
Not sure about him, but switching the gun slots would make sure you get attachments auto put on your "primary".
I often have sights go on my shotgun/sidearm instead of my main gun because I picked them up first.
I think this is fixed, now, likely as of this patch. If you're holding two weapons but have your firsts out, attachments will prefer to go to your *most recent* primary weapon, instead of the one that's in slot-1. Don't quote me on that, things could've changed since that change went into our dev branch.
Serious question, why auto switching is a something that anybody may want ? I want to change weapon when i cannot use it.
Iirc, we had auto-switching-on-empty in Titanfall1 and Titanfall2 (though you mostly *couldn't* run out of ammo in Titanfall2-MP, so was a non-issue). So it's just something that didn't come up much before, and was the right call for Titanfall2-SP, and carried forward without much examination.
If the game wasn't out yet, I suspect we'd push for this (not auto-switching) as the default, instead of the other way around.
