I had zero issues with season 2 and with the launch of season 3 people with i7 9700k’s have been experiencing freezing and having to restart their computer. This has been happening to users who don’t have their cpu overclocked as well as those who do have their cpu overclocked.

Posted this in the megathread but posting here as well just in case.

I've looked into the issue and here are my findings:

- this looks to be purely a display issue. The XP/star display in post game screen is fully unreliable at this point. To see your actual XP/star progress, check the "see all challenges" menu

- the good news is that i believe you are still earning and leveling up as intended, behind the scenes

If anyone has information that is inconsistent with this, please let me know (send screenshots)

- e.g. if your XP progress in the "see all challenges" menu is not updating properly, let me know!

The settings have absolutely no impact on the extremely low FPS. Whether they are ultra or as low as possible, the FPS remains the same (35-45 when looking anywhere but at a wall)

Please ask any questions about anything and I'll reply in as much detail as I possibly can with screenshots, clips and whatnot as per your request. I'd love to help you ascertain the cause of this issue!

It is great to hear Respawn comment on this, as weeks without hearing anything is unnerving, so the reply is very welcomed.

A few more things:

1) How much RAM do you have?

2) Can you try running the game with "-maxthreads 3" or "-maxthreads 4"?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I've looked into the issue and here are my findings:

- EDIT: The "level up" sequence in the post game menu is also somewhat unreliable since it can appear that you leveled up on a lower tier of the recurring XP/star challenge when you are actually on a higher tier. Again, if someone can provide video that is inconsistent with this, please send it to me so I can review it.

I don't know how but I am getting no progress after the game - it basically rolls back every game. These are three screenshots taken exactly how they went from first to last. I ended up at the same level and with less exp than the previous one - once I even had 44 k but it rolled back to 40 300 or less ( I forgot to take the screen ).

Follow this wonderful individual's guide step by step to fix the issue with Apex Legends having altered their Anti-Cheat program, which left it interfering with performance to an enormous degree.

Huge thanks for those of you that took the time to offer productive help instead of general throwaway FPS improvements and even bigger thanks to this wonderful individual who posted a method of fixing this.

Do adjustments to game quality settings have any effect on FPS? If so, is there are there any particular settings that seems to have a large effect?

Is the problem any better or worse at particular times during the game, or is it constant throughout the match?

For the record, we're not ignoring this issue. It appears to be effecting a small number of users, and we have been unable to reproduce it on any of our hardware so far, but we are trying.

Hey, as noted charms and trails are working fine, but if folks didn't play ranked in the last few weeks they were hit by a bug and their badge didn't update properly. 

This is being looked into.

Hi there, I posted this in the bug mega thread but: I have some questions for people who are having problems with getting the wrong badge - What platform are you guys playing on? Also when was the last time you played a rank match? I have a theory that it might not be working correctly for some people who played rank early on in Season 2 but stopped playing soon after.
