The Winter Harvest Bowl sounds juuuuuust like chili. I love me some chili. Also, Py'Rai, so there's that. Scoop me up a bowl please!

It's more like a salad ;)

But a bowl of Moonblossom is the perfect way to bring in the new year! What better way to give thanks to the moon that has guided our long nights?!

Ope! Moonblossom is the name of the drink ;) The Winter Harvest Bowl is a savory and healthy dish :D

They're all separated so the dish is first, and the beverage is second <3

Ice AND Fire?
I dont know what this is, but i am very interested.

Instead of this dish being 1 large dish, it's two smaller dishes! Think of it like street food :)

I'm hoping the brew is warm, feeling sick on the holidays is no fun.

It is warm indeed ;)

Why would I, a royal Empyrean elf eat anything other than delicious Crescent-Moon delights.

And delicious, they are! Those are certainly a couple of my favorite recipes. I'm going to wait to vote for my fav once a few more submissions are in :)

Glorious Ashes community - it's time for another Dev Discussion! Dev Discussion topics are kind of like a "reverse Q&A" - rather than you asking us questions about Ashes of Creation, we want to ask YOU what your thoughts are.

Dev Discussion - Drop Rarity

How do you feel when it comes to rare loot? Do you prefer when rare mobs and boss mobs drop something interesting often or less often?

Something that I've been wondering for a while is if we really need the three tiers of the primary currency that we have seen so far in AoC. It appears that Ashes of Creation has a system similar to World of Warcraft where 100 copper is equal to 1 silver, and 100 silver is equal to 1 gold. If we have these three currencies then I should expect to see items with values of a silver or less, otherwise copper serves no real purpose. Based on what I've seen so far, even low level players will be acquiring silver and gold as rewards far more than simple copper.

I feel that if players are always going have enough money in their bags to ignore the existence of copper, then keeping it in the game just becomes information bloat. Lets look at it with USD. Would having a coin that is 1/100 of a penny make your life any easier? People already complain about having to deal with change now that almost everything costs more than a dollar. Addi...

The wind and its effects are adjustable ;) There are different reasons why the weather might change. The team might have wind "turned up high" during most livestreams, but there will likely be variance in weather depending on different variables <3

I expect many to say yes to this question! We did a Dev Discussion on an adjacent topic, and many players felt they wanted to "normal," or rather not "the savior" of the universe <3

Here's that Dev Discussion for ya, in case you're curious ;) https://forums.ashesofcreation.com/discussion/55231/dev-discussion-49-lore-characters/p1

My topic has nothing to do with the ability for attackers to assess a caravans capabilities. I don't mind if the attackers can't see it till cast, all I care about is that something happens when he ability is cast similarly to a person casting a spell. Something happening is all that I want, instead of what currently is in place where the ability just happens there is no "cast"

It might be helpful to try to reiterate your idea, or what you're asking for!

Perhaps if you can come up with an additional 1 or 2 examples of what you're talking about (similar to the flower = healing idea), with some arguments as to why these ideas would be nice to see, you might start some new thoughts or discussions in the thread!

I already see a few - But are there current systems that you think do this well, that you'd like to tell us more about?

Perhaps you can identify what aspects of similar systems that exist in other games can improve upon?

Feel free to use screenshots or other visual examples to help your points :)

I'm curious OP, are there any problems you see with this idea? Perhaps the same as other's have pointed out, or any that you can think of?

Are there any other ways in which you think the problem you feel could be solved? Perhaps it's worth dissecting the core of your concern further <3

Look forward to hearing additional thoughts on this!

Here is the quote from Steven, which comes from yesterday on Discord:

"I enjoy big swords, so long as it isn’t overly sized to ludicrous proportions. It’s purely subjective but not consistent within our style guide of a higher fidelity of magical realism" - Steven :)
