Hmm, must be one that hasn't been discovered yet. Can you post your output log somewhere? Then I'll take a look.

This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some sites where you can post the log and share a link, since you can't upload files to Steam.

It sounds very much like you have a mod that's broken. Please see this post and check if it's one that's already known to be broken.

Is it okay if i have an explanation to why C:S Sunset Harbour not coming out when it said it would? Is that just a problem with me, or...?

10 CET is 11 local time in Finland and 9 GMT.

With the release of Sunset Harbor, we're here to help you with any issues you might have!

How to know if it's a mod or game issue? Simple!
  1. Go to your Steam library
  2. Right click on Cities: Skylines and select "Properties"
  3. Set Launch Options...
  4. Type in --noWorkshop

Here's a more detailed guide!

Then start a new game. If the problem is gone -... Read more

I forget where I saw this but it's an amazing tip since managing mods drove me crazy until I saw it. I'm sure it's been covered before but posting again with the new DLC drop and everyone no doubt needing to be able to adjust their current mods.

1. Go to Steamcommunity.com from inside your web browser of choice. This will not work in the Steam client.

2. Then go to your subscribed items by visiting the CS:Workshop ( ... Read more

I recommend opening a ticket with Paradox[paradox.zendesk.com] or posting on the official forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com] to get help with this. The launcher just updated today, so you might have a completely new issue, which other players might not be able to help with.

There isn't any good way since Steam broke offline mode, but you can kinda trick Steam. Set the game to only update when launched, start Steam like normal and then disconnect the internet before launching the game. It isn't ideal at all, but for a couple of days I guess it's doable.

You don't have to start all over every time. You will likely need to check your mods a bunch of times to remove broken ones and you might need to remove some workshop assets to make room for the new content, but starting fresh isn't a requirement. Some people choose to do so, but it's just an option.

I hate the idea of having to find all the goodies I'm subscribed to, so I haven't unsubscribed everything ever. I've removed lots of mods and assets over the years, but I really don't like starting all over again. :P

If you want to give it a go at not starting fresh this time, I suggest checking out this thread and following it in the weeks after release. I will be updating it with information to help others figure out what mods break and need to be removed, so they can get back to playing. And if there's something it doesn't answer, just ask. I'm here to help others with modded games through the update. :)

Parallel Road Tool is the absolute easiest way to do this.

Alternately you can use Move It. It can align the height of things (and a bunch of other handy stuff), which is super useful.

At the top hover over your username, from the dropdown menu pick "Friends" and then on the sidebar of that page you can see who you follow. :)

I am definitely looking forward to the next DLC and the Creator's Pack for "Modern Japan". I am going to create my Little Tokyo!

Hopefully it won't even take that long. The last 2 patches it was a couple of days before we could play heavily modded cities again. :) I will update this post after release, so you can always check this to see if your mods have been updated and you can get back to building. :)

Originally posted by ilmibear.88: what about vehicle assets in mom, will it follow with the sunset harbor?

Any that were made as metro vehicles will be useable with Sunset Harbor without mods. Any that are trains, which MOM converts to metro will need a mod to be used with the new metro in Sunset Harbor, or would need to be remade as metro vehicles. We will just have to see what options we will have once the DLC releases and mods update or are made for it. :)

The 25th will have a dev diary detailing all the goodies we get in the free patch, but for now yesterdays dev diary confirmed a few things that will be in the free patch:

The free part of this DLC, includes a majorly overhauled metro system. You can now adjust the height of metro tracks, which means tracks and stations can be underground, street level, or even above ground on elevated platforms! Included in the free content update are also the new Healthcare facilities. After building them, you may notice more children being born in the city and some...

TM:PE v11 STABLE and TM:PE v11 LABS will be compatible within few hours of release, including support for trolleybus listed in the public announcement schedule.

Traffic Manager: President Edition (STABLE) v10.20 will _not_ be compatible (it is no longer maintained as LinuxFan no longer plays the game).

To transition from v10.20 (or earlier) to v11, follow these steps:

1. Exit game to desktop
2. Unsubscribe v10.20
3. Subscribe to v11 (either STABLE or LABS)

If that process is followed, settings will be carried across. If you have any problems, check the TMPE.log file - there's a list of mods in there and any known breaking mods will have a `!` next to them. If still problems, contact TM:PE team via either of the v11 (LABS or STABLE) workshop pages.

No, you can make a backup of the save like that. I suggest moving it out of the savegames folder and keeping it somewhere else. Then you can open the save and see how things are and if something breaks, you have the backup to use.

Thanks for your post
If I copy the save and play in new save with un-updated mod. Will this influence my original savegame? (maybe through config file?)

Patch day means some mods are likely to break, meaning your city won't load/work like it usually does. But don't worry, most mods update pretty quickly or can safely be removed, so you are unlikely to lose your city.

Just don't panic and if you do open your save, don't save over the file - save as a new file instead just to be safe.

If you don't use any mods from the workshop or have been through patches before you likely know the drill and this post won't really be useful for you. It's intended to help players who aren't used to mods and patches through the update as smoothly as possible. If this is still all new to you and you have questions feel free to ask and I’ll answer them as best as I can.

If you play with a lot of mods
  • Don’t open your city or cities yet, but wait until most major mods are updated, so nothing breaks.
  • Keep an eye on this post and its link...
