Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)

- subscribe to a few mods
- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

Windows 10 is not fully up to date, and the nVidia driver or card is having a problem too (as you might guess from that screenshot):

First please run the Update app in Windows and apply the new Windows 10 version you will see there. Reboot, then run it again, apply everything it finds reboot - keep doing that until fully up to date.

Then do a clean reinstall of that driver:
- uninstall it and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install it again by fresh download

We cannot grant achievements to anyone I'm afraid. Aside from being triggered by the game they are entirely managed by Steam.


If the crash is reproducible from that save, you are all set to report this crash as a clear bug! Please make a new thread in the official CK3 Bug Reports forum here:

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest path it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >

Rest assured we're investigating this further and both the CKIII and tech team are trying to figure out the cause (and a solution!) but sadly there isn't a confirmed workaround for the time being :(. We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:



Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol V... Read more

No, it's been 6gb since game release. Did you see what I said in that regard?
Possibly the newer game patch is more picky about meeting that spec

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

It is hard to see how a save file with one name could overwrite a save file with a different name. Is that what you are saying?

The launcher unloads once the game starts. But that happens with all games, not just CK3, so I'm really not sure what you are seeing there!

Let's try forcing an update of the launcher.

Download the installer package: https://forumcontent.paradoxplaza.com/emailsignatures/2021.6-win-prod.zip

Unpack the file you just downloaded and place the three files in the Steam folder for the game you're having issues with. If asked if you want to replace already existing files click "yes" - that's a sign you are in the right place!

Then please repeat the launcher reinstall procedure from before.

I can't recall ever seeing a Mac with dual video systems playing our games on the wrong one.
