Our systems change heavily during EA all the time, hence the documentation unfortunately has no priority currently.

Our playtests are currently only intended to be played on the server mentioned in the branch. While you can play locally, after the respective playtest ended, the branches go away and any savegames will be incompatible, so that's on your own risk. No, but you don't need to worry about animals currently, as they are basically not extinctable until refactored.

This system completely changes in Update 10 to a flat bonus configurable by the server admin depending on amount of residents, with no complicated calculation for additional residents anymore.

We do not support migration for major versions like this, but we will try to make most saves compatible. We do not recommend using an old save though, even if it works.

You'll need to do stuff once and use WorldEdit / Civics Export Import mod to reuse things on a new world.

We also added hammer forms for stone road building as well keep tuning the building in general to make it feel more polished (we had a massive internal rework of a lot of core systems regarding placement and interactions).

edit: The stairs will work like ramps are on current release is what i mean :D
