Just an update here. The filter is not broken. Seems like we had a word slip through the cracks. We’re addressing this now.

We haven’t updated anything on the forum since Dec. 20. The team has been gone. So if a filter is missing, then this is a technical issue. We will investigate.

Hi All! Quick update on forum comms for the holiday season. Starting tomorrow, the ZOS Studios will be closed for the holidays. So expect delays in communication until after the New Year. The XP boost is active. Once the event is live, the boost is in effect. We also note this in the article for the event as well. The team has feedback to add an indicator in the future.

To be honest, people have wanted the event buff icon since the change to auto buff. You keep promising sometime in the future, I think we've gone through all the events, so that time might be next year already? I don't think one icon would be a big problem for a developers. So please, please, please give it to us for Christmas :blush:

Totally get that. My understanding from what the dev team has told me is in order to implement notification to track the XP boost, a new tool needs to be built and tested to work with the events. I suspect forum moderation also needs a second look: many people are afraid to post their complaints here for fear of getting banned, and this is actively creating blindspots to performance issues with the game that developers need player feedback and information to be able to notice and address.

We are also taking a look at this in the New Year. We have already scheduled some meetings to discuss moderation practices and how we can find a better medium there.

I know we just got the big update from Rich - can we expect additional updates, hopefully before Jan 1, on how the investigation is going and if anything has been discovered? Doesn't have to be from Rich directly.. but just... something to help give some confidence to people about the issue?

This is in an effort to better track the information from more places (like Steam, Reddit, Discord Servers, etc,) like what you provided in the screenshots above, just in a more organized way and breaks it down the info that our engineers need. Hi @Aldoss. We are still collecting feedback here. We're planning to have more conversations about this feedback and associated questions once everyone is back in the office in the New Year. We don't have a firm date yet. The team started work to restore PTS yesterday. So timing is TBD at the moment.

Not to mention that if they're only announcing details a quarter of the way through 2025 then 2025 is pretty much going to be a write off in terms of new content.

Just following up on this. We have new content coming in 2025. We have our normal Q1 content for 2025 (we’ll touch on that next month), and April will have details for the rest of 2025. So it will not be a write off regarding content.

I really don't understand why they would go back to something that came very close to killing this game, especially when it's a small minority asking for it. To say I'm stunned is a gross understatement. The very least they could have done is make a difficulty slider so those of us that do not want more difficulty in the story wouldn't have our experience ruined. Especially when we were supporting sliders to enhance the enjoyment of those that wanted more difficulty, even though we didn't want it ourselves. It didn't have to be just one way or the other. This is the most disappointed I have ever felt in all my years of playing.
