Hey JustSkillss,

Sorry to hear about your issue with activating your game.

Does your friend use a VPN? If they were, you would need to change your country settings on your Ubisoft Account and on the Epic side to match whatever country your friend had set their VPN to.

Hey CaptainLad69,

Sorry to hear that, have you tried to launch the game as system admin? Do you have any other apps running at the same time that could be causing this?

Hey Aikurisu,

Please accept my apologies for the delayed reply to your thread. Please try to avoid bumping threads, as it does not result in a faster reply and can obscure your provision of important information for investigation. I've merged your posts together to this effect.

You mentioned in your original post that you verified the file integrity of For Honor, as well as freshly installed the game. Could you please also try reinstalling Uplay PC, as well as the rest of the steps in our ... Read more

Thanks for sharing what worked for you, BrijeshB!

It is worth testing this workaround first, and if it does not resolve the issue, trying the steps I have outlined above.

Have you performed full reinstallations of both Uplay PC and For Honor as yet, S4AD? If you have not, please do so, and run both the launcher and the game with administrator rights afterward.

And by "deleted the program data folder", do you mean deleting the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder in %AppData%, or something else?

If you are having issues with your Steam overlay while playing For Honor.

To try and get this resolved could you please follow the steps below:

- Go to Steam > Settings > In-Game tab.
- Make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is ticked.
- Go to your Steam Library.
- Right click on the game and select Properties.
- In the General tab, make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is ticked.

You may also need to clear your browser cache in Steam. To do this:

- Navigate to Steam > Settings
- In the Settings Menu find "Web Browser"
- "Delete browser cache" > OK

If you need any further assistance completing these steps or still encounter issues please feel free to let us know.

Hey tokisakirem,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Is that error appearing within the Uplay launcher or is it an Epic error pop-up?

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this error message when trying to access Assassin's Creed Syndicate through Epic Games.

Can you all please clarify where the error is appearing? Is it within the Epic Games launcher, or Uplay PC? Are there any specific error codes mentioned?

It would be helpful if you could help to rule out any basic connectivity issues within Uplay PC by completing our connectivity troubleshooting for it as well.

Is this issue only with Syndicate, or other Ubisoft titles as well, if anyone is able to test this for me? As if so, I think it would be best to open a new threa... Read more

Hey mastagcat
Are you still having the same problem?
Is it possible that you linked your Epic account to a different Ubisoft account?

Can you clear the cache in Uplay and let usknow if this is still happening
