Thank you for reporting this to us.

This can be due to a resolution issue, where the game is set to a resolution that your monitor is unable to support.

What we would advise is trying to hit Alt+Enter to put the gamer into Windowed mode, which can help display it and then let you change to the correct resolution in the In-Game settings.

We would also advise disabling any overlays you might be running aside from the Uplay one, for instance MSI Afterburner or Discord. These can cause conflicts with some of our titles.

What are you system specifications?

We would certainly advise ensuring that you have the latest Windows Updates.

Please also try running the game with Administration rights, as another user advised this helped them to get past this. You can find steps for this here.

As mentioned, please make sure you have the latest drivers installed, and make sure you have tried reinstalling the game is you still see the same error.

We would also advise, checking the minimum requirements for the game here.

If you are on a laptop please also ensure that it's using the correct GPU.

Did you get an error message when that occurred?

We'd certainly advise verifying the game files if you haven't already, which will check for missing or corrupt files and replace them. You can do this by clicking on the menu under the game icon in Uplay.
