Cycles

The Harbingers of Ruin Cycle begins July 9th at 11:00am CT! 1.0 represented our first new Cycle of play, and now 1.1 is a brand new one.

  • All new characters can be created in Cycle or Legacy realms
  • All 1.0 Cycle characters are now moved to Legacy
  • Those characters stashes are also now moved to Legacy, and shared among similar game modes as usual
    • Shared stash data includes items, resonances, gold, crafting materials, and faction progress
  • Each stash from the previous cycle is now available as a remove-only stash in the appropriate Legacy stash. You may remove any of these items on any Legacy character with the same optional challenge settings and use them as normal.

It's not a matter of wanting it or not, it's a matter of the game locking up or not. We've already pushed the filter to the limit. We can't add more rules without compromising performance.

I’m not sure if this is a misunderstanding or not as I’ve seen a few comments regarding the Egg invalidating LP hunt, so I just want to throw a confirmation out there:

Replacing an Egg with a 0LP unique and Empowering it does not guarantee adding LP, that is just one of the possible outcomes.

Yes, this rule is possible with the filter changes in 1.1. Within one rule, you would set one affix condition with Intelligence, and Increased spell damage, with the advanced condition of minimum required tier of 5+. Then within that same rule, create a second affix condition with all resistances selected, with the advanced condition of minimum required tier of 3.

Most certainly, yes, these stats will still have a signifigant impact on your ward retention. The change is made to target excessive ward generation, but normal mechanics are still applied, and is improved for lower values of ward.

Saying ward retention is halved would be incorrect. Retention is higher for lower values of ward, and increases with higher ward values at an accelerating rate. There is an accurate graph posted in the section which visually shows the difference in the ward decay rates with different values of ward.
