Our current plan is for a set number of defined chat channels, we’ll see how this feels and adjust accordingly.
Chat icons will appear next to moderator accounts or EHG team members, at least initially. I think there is definitely scope for other types of icons longer term.

Thanks for the report, we will look into it.
I think the missing piece of information is that you don’t have to complete one quest to start the next. Just getting to where the next quest starts in enough. The main story quests are mostly about guiding you through the campaign.
You can skip from chapter 5 to 9 in the dungeon. This lets you pick up quests in chapter 9.
This is a known issue that occurs when multiple instances of damage occur at the same time, causing one of them to not display. We’re working on a fix, thanks for the report!

I understand why it could seem that way from the wording but this is not what the intention of this post is. What it is intending to say is that the test will happen sometime later in the year than today. It isn’t intending to convey any new information as to timelines. I edited the post to make more sense.

Completely understand the disappointment. It's a system that we were excited about early on as well but as the game has evolved and been iterated on it was clear that this system didn't make sense in context any longer. Considering we'll be expanding and adding content to Last Epoch for many years after the 1.0 release we'll look out for ways to scratch that same itch.
Remember that we're always looking out for awesome suggestions for content that could be added to the game and we take community feedback and suggestions to heart. Apologies for the disappointment if you were looking forward specifically to that system.
December saw the introduction of the Eternal Legends update. This introduced one of the new endgame Dungeons: Temporal Sanctum, Legendary Items, an overhaul to crafting, and an overhaul to the Druid mastery. We’re happy to say this new endgame system, and the addition of legendary items to provide further solid goals for players has been very well received. This patch resulted in not only continual growth of player numbers over the first month following release but the highest overall retention we’ve seen to date.
