My favourite build of all time was probably Mana Meteor… for all the wrong reasons. :stuck_out_tongue:

My most recent build has been a Disintegrate Sorcerer which was a lot of fun.

Next on the list is a Lich, just because I love being in Reaper Form and find Reap really satisfying to use. I haven’t put much thought into it yet. The idea is to dip into Necromancer for Summon Skeleton Mage, take the nodes that make them Cryomancers and able to sacrifice Wraiths, then try to cheese out as many Wraiths as I can through passives and specialization tree nodes. Maybe design a unique item to help the build along while I refine it…

As Jerle says, the current plan is that there will be a wipe at release - though it is still quite far away, so it’s not something we have discussed a great deal thus far.

I don’t think it’d be appropriate for people to have a dozen level 100 characters on day one. If there was a lot of requests for, say, existing characters to be retained but reset to level one so that chat commands would show their original (pre-release) creation dates and playtime… we would consider it. I think that would mostly be decided by how much work it would be.

It’s natural for people to grow attached to their characters, so I imagine there’ll be some feedback on the subject as the game approaches release - and we’ll discuss the feedback we get and see where it goes from there. Can’t say much beyond that at this early stage. :slight_smile:

I’m sorry to say that this is very unlikely to happen. The Forge Guard is not currently designed as a minion class. The minions that it does spawn are designed to scale directly off of your gear as they are themed as manifestations of that gear. Our goal is that they don’t need minion affixes and passives to have those skills be useful. We also have to consider screen clutter, 100% spawn rate with an AoE attack can result in dozens of minions being spawned in an instant. It’s just too much with regards to visuals, networking and cpu usage.

Sorry about the confusion-- as of this post the patch has been released for 2 hours but the leaderboard has not been cleared.

To correct an issue where characters created before 0.7.4 were shown on the leaderboard, we will be clearing all current entries soon after this patch is released. Your characters created in 0.7.4 will still be eligible for the ladder-- simply level up or complete any Arena wave to have your current level and highest Arena wave listed again.

    • Increased base damage by 43%.
  • Maelstrom
    • Freeze Rate now scales with attunement.
    • Power of the Storm now strikes enemies around the most recent target you cast Maelstrom on, rather than always targeting enemies around you.

    • Now costs 20 mana (up from 16).

Yea, we’ve got some tools to affect these. The early levels in particular haven’t had a big change to difficulty in a while. It might be as simple as reducing the xp you gain from things. We do some balance passes almost every patch and we are hesitant to do really big changes all at once but we’re working on it. We recently just made a few changes to how enemy scaling works so that we can alter these things a lot easier.

All I’m hearing is that we need to crank up the difficulty haha :smile:

In all seriousness, this is very good feedback and we will be altering the difficulty and leveling curves as the game evolves.

Could you please post your log file if you encounter this bug again? I haven’t heard of anyone encountering this bug internally so we’re going to need more information unfortunately.

If a log file is generated I would be interested in seeing it (make sure it’s not the log from the previous session).

Could you try using Task Manager (ctrl+shift+esc) to force close the game instead, should it be necessary? I have used task manager to force close the game without issue personally; I don’t use alt+f4.

We don’t support uploading images directly to the forum, so you just need to upload it to any image-hosting website. Imgur does not require you to make an account. An image will be the best way to understand the problem and relay it to someone who can fix it.

The zones changed place during development, the world map will be updated in 0.7.4b. I’ll make a note for the mouse-overs, thanks!
