Time is one of the central themes of Last Epoch’s story.

As you travel through time, you get to see first-hand how the events which occur have changed the world of Eterra. This is something we leverage when designing quests, zones, and enemies. In a future patch we will be adding the Fallen Osprix to certain Imperial Era zones.

In the Divine Era the Osprix were the proud servants of Rahyeh, the god of sky and fire, but with Rahyeh’s death their place in the world was put at risk. As the Immortal Empire embraced the powers of undeath, the Osprix were pushed further and... Read more

Hey guys, sorry if we don’t respond at times. The analysis that @ReimerhArts has provided is much appreciated and we’ve actually already had a small discussion on it internally. We acknowledge that some stats aren’t scaling well late game, that it is a problem, and we have some ideas that aren’t ready to be discussed yet publicly.

I’ll ask the team to acknowledge these threads more especially if we even bring it up as an internal meeting topic. Thanks again for the feedback guys!

Hey folks, got another update for you.

We’ve collaborated with our partner and got the Launcher working on Fedora. The workaround, consisting of downloading and running another small file, will still be required - however it won’t be necessary to play the game through Steam - both clients should work.

Unfortunately due to it being Sunday not everyone is available, and I’ll need to leave the house pretty soon myself. I expect we should be able to release both the Launcher update, and the separate download, sometime this week. I’ll be sure to post updates here as I get them.

I haven’t had an opportunity to test on other distros yet. I’ll try to find some time - and space! - to at least test on openSUSE early next week to check whether the fix helps other distros.

Apologies for the lack of communication on this as we work on both this and other issues!

Here’s a quick update on where we are;

  • I have been testing on Fedora 30 and I have Last Epoch working.

Here’s the road ahead and where we stand;

  • I plan to make a small file downloadable (possibly just a shell script) which resolves the issue. This should not need to be run more than once. I haven’t created this yet. What it does and why will be either explained by it or on a support article.
  • I have not yet been able to get the launcher for the standalone client working on Fedora. We are unlikely to resolve this in the short-term, so I would advise that anyone affected play through Steam. If you bought outside of Steam, you can ...

Thanks for the report!

If you haven’t run the game client again since this happened, could you please post a log file?

We’re not ready to discuss the full details of how class specific items will work in Last Epoch.

However I can confirm that we are currently planning for there to be armour and weapons that are specific to individual base classes and mastery classes.

Our art team have been working on updates for our log in screen and loading screens!

Log In Screen

Last Epoch’s current log in screen uses some of our oldest art. As much as we love this art, we believe that some of our more recent art is more detailed and better represents the current version of Last Epoch. The new art features the city of Welryn!

While we were working on the log in screen, we added a Settings button to it. You no longer need to log into the game in order to access and make changes to your settings.

The current iteration of our new log in screen.

A variation we have been experimenting with

Loading Screens

We also wanted to update the art used by our loading screens. It’s going to take time for us t...

Hi there,

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved due to our quick chat over on Discord. While I realize this post doesn’t resolve your issue, it isn’t actually possible to mark the first post as a solution.

Thanks for the detailed info, currently the behaviour you are experiencing is the correct one. The cursor you are seeing while playing with the controller is used to aim certain skills with the right controller stick. You can also press it to recenter it quickly. Untill we have some sort of auto targeting and pickup in place that’s the only viable way of playing both melee and non melee builds with a pad.

We’ll be looking at the issue of the player being stuck :+1:t2:

(Once the fix gets implemented) If you level up that character again, it will appear on the level ladder. If it’s a dead HC character, no.

Hey there,

Is this on Windows, Linux, or macOS? Which controller are you using?

The releasing of new skills and then immediately nerfing them into the ground so that they suck as bad as some of the older skills that are not tuned yet is downright baffling. Extremely counterproductive to get your customers to like your new content and then yank it back because it made your older content look bad. I very much hope the next patch sees these changes undone. Yes that's right UNDONE. I SAID IT. Let us enjoy the game, let us feel powerful. If every skill sucks what is the point? I really want this game to succeed but if this is how it's going to be going forward, well that would be hugely disappointing and will relegate this game to the uninstalled.

There were two skills nerfed severely in Patch 0.7.2b;

  • Transplant

  • Reaper Form

Both of these skills were released with trees in a state they should never have been released in - and on behalf of the team I apologize that such drastic changes were subsequently needed. Transplant is now in a more reasonable state, however we recognize that Reaper Form is now needing quite a lot of love - we have been discussing both how best to bring Reaper Form's tree up to a higher power level, as well as how to improve our internal QA processes to avoid repeats of Patch 0.7.2b.

Transplant

Transplant is an Acolyte skill with a 4 second cooldown that had a node which, for the investment of three points on its tree, would give your character a flat 30% reduced damage taken modifier. This lasted for three seconds by default, with an adjacent node increasing the duration of this buff by 1 second per ...

Hey everyone, we have identified the problem with the ladder. Thank you for your help troubleshooting the issue. We know how to fix the issue. We will fix it as soon as we can. Unfortunately we don’t have an exact timeline on that just yet.

Kickstarter backers: after too many delays we're shipping out these little Chronowyrms soon! Each one has been 3d printed and hand-painted to ensure we're satisfied with the quality of them. We hope you love them as much as we do!
