Sorry about this - we’re working on a fix for this issue.

Changing graphics to Very Low is a workaround that seems to help everyone affected.

If you spend some time in the Monolith of Fate you'll start finding Arena Keys. :)

The settings menu should allow you to disable damage numbers.

There aren't any other options (e.g. enable for crits only) available currently, but I'm happy to discuss this with the team.

Here's a quick overview of some of the changes made so far this year;

January

  • Base classes now have Passives
  • Added multiple new skills
  • Replaced the character models for three of the four available base classes
  • Replaced all character animations used by three of the four bases classes
  • Implemented the Set Item rarity with multiple item sets included in this patch
  • Merged the Knight base class and Sentinel mastery class

Apologies for the technical issues! We're working on them.

One of the worst offenders was loading the zone The Maj'Elkan Catacombs; for some it was a very long loading screen, for others they could even crash when attempting to load it. Our Lead Developer has identified the cause of this, and we're testing a fix which has brought this down to between 5% and 11% of the current load time. It's too early to say how impactful this will be for other zones.

Chat box interfering with NPC dialogue.

This is a known issue, but not currently considered a priority.

Priorities include - but are not limited to - fixing crashing issues & radically improving loading times.

New Supporter packs being pushed when part of them don't even work.

We're very sorry about this. The initial beta build & beta supporter packs became available at the same time, so we didn't learn of the bug until the packs were available for purchase. Resolving this is one of the team's current priorities.

(There's little to no overlap between the people working on this and those working on crash fixes).

Optimization. This is likely the biggest issue I have right now.

This is the biggest issue that many people have currently.

Not much I can say other than it isn't good enough and we'll continue to work on improving it.

Yup, that will help. We need all the data we can get right now.

It’s really strange, I have a decent system, nowhere near as good as some of the ones that get posted, and I have a solid 50+ fps in the editor on very high settings and the editor adds a bunch of overhead. Not to mention the other dozen heavy programs running in the background.

OK, this may have had something to do with the character respec going wrong.

Please let me know if it happens again and we’ll get you to give us an output log so we can figure out the error.

All enemies should be cursable but some of them get the visual indicator placed inside their bodies so it looks like they aren’t cursed.

If you find enemies that you can’t see the curse on, please let us know which ones and we’ll fix it.

Hi Schnarchnase, sorry to hear you’re having some fps issues. We have oddly variable performance from different systems. We get reports of people with 5 year old systems working well and brand new powerful systems having fps issues like yours. We are working to track down these issues.

We are aware that some software really doesn’t play well with the game if they are running at the same time. We don’t have a solid master list of things that conflict but we have had reports from several users about VPN software causing problems. If you are interested in doing a little troubleshooting, I would recommend turning off as much software you can and see if it helps. It’s probably not a resource issue but rather a specific piece that is having some issues.

I would also recommend double checking graphics drivers but that’s just a ultra generic thing that you probably have already done.

Yes, so it’s getting an error when it’s first trying to connect to the server. The launcher also having that same issue makes me think that it’s being blocked by some sort of network security system. Is it possible for you to take a look at your firewalls to make sure that it’s not being blocked? The spot that it’s getting stuck at is a very basic network call.

As Sarno mentioned, you can drop your settings down to lowest and it will hopefully help get you through.

As for the confine mouse thing, we’re looking to add an option to confine the cursor. It won’t be added quickly but it is planned.

What’s different about this character compared to the others? I’m not sure from your report if other characters can load in to the end of time or not.

The application should be installed to an app folder right beside the launcher itself. How big is the launcher folder?

Thanks for the logs, that’s very helpful. I think I know the cause but I can’t fix it until next patch. See if you can move very close to him without clicking on him and then try clicking on him once you’re already standing in range.
