Hmm, the border-less must make the window a resolution like 3439x1439 or something along those lines. I'll look into the details of what's going on there and see if there's something I can do when border-less is set. Thanks for sharing your settings and these screenshots. Helps a ton.

I'll be adding the V-sync option back in soon. Hopefully the next patch. That should help with the screen tearing.

As for the line issue, that tends to happen when the window is a funky resolution. I would make sure your window isn't squished and is matching the resolutions in the settings/your monitor. Often times the window will get squished when it is bigger than the screen you are playing on.

I will be making a new tutorial for the game, but I am also in the process of cleaning up the UI to be less cluttered, and easier to understand. The initial 1.0 beta release was me throwing as much functionality in as I could, which resulted in a lot of overwhelming info/options. Hopefully each coming patch helps make things easier to understand. Though, by its nature, it is a complicated game, so the tutorial will have to do a lot of the heavy lifting I think.

Thanks for the report. Usually when this happens it's because some error has happened under the hood. This week I'm going to focus a lot on this sort of bug, so stay tuned for some hotfixes as the week trucks along. I'll be playing longer sessions to reproduce this sort of issue.

Did you notice anything specific with this bug? For example, there is a bug currently where the settlers can get stuck in the mating state. This could possibly cause them to starve or die of thirst.

It says what version you are playing in the bottom-left corner of the main menu. Based on your comment about playing the elfish race, I'm guessing you are in the beta? I would suggest not playing the beta if you don't want to encounter any issues because it is very much unstable.

I haven't officially announced the beta (wanted to get some hotfixes in first and will write a post today) and that's why I haven't created the beta channel yet. Will make one later today. But thanks for biting the bullet and digging into the rough first couple versions of beta. Those are always the most unstable and I appreciate you going in regardless to help find issues.

Regarding that issue you saw where the build object appeared by the cursor, that is intentional. It's to show you a preview of what you're placing. If it's annoying to see this, I can add a toggle to the settings menu to hide that. Happy to add that if required.

As for water collection, yes, I'm still ironing out some bugs there. Though it is harder to collect water, entities should still drink from water sources, so water collection is more of a way to disperse water through the settlement and shouldn't limit survival. Not abandoned. It has the same version as Steam and Itch. There hasn't been update on all these stores since 2022 because I've been working on the 1.0 which is coming out in July this year.

Ah, that sounds frustrating. In the live version there's no real way to limit that. I have been working on improving the uniforms system/UI, so I'll keep this scenario in mind.

You might be able to override the warrior uniform for the captured entities by manually adding the prisoners into a control group and then assigning a high priority uniform to that. But, that's just a guess. Not sure that'll work 100%.
