Star Trek Infinite is developed by an external studio and published by Paradox. We don't expect that it will affect the development of Stellaris at all. :)

There are several things you can try to fix this issue, try each of these steps in order, and attempt to load the game after each one:

1. Verify Local Files (Steam) - Right Click Stellaris, Right Click Properties, Go to Local Files and click ""Verify Integrity of Game Files""
2. In the launcher, go to Settings, and change your Video Settings to Borderless Fullscreen or Windowed mode
3. (In Windows) Go to Settings, Add/Remove Programs, and Uninstall Paradox Launcher v2. After relaunching the game, let the launcher download updates, and restart the game again.

If none of these things work, go to support.paradoxplaza.com and open a ticket. Customer Support will be able to help you troubleshoot this issue!

A few highlights include changes relating to ground combat collateral damage and bombardment (specifically Raiding Bombardment).

We’re reducing the amount of collateral damage ground units deal, as many invasions were destroying the colonies before the battle completed.

The base rate at which Raiding bombardment steals pops will be dramatically reduced. Each army present on a planet will also protect 3 pops from being vulnerable to Raiding bombardment. (Raiding bombardment is always unable to steal the last pop of a colony, so on a colony with three def... Read more
