Is this a save you started before 3.3 launched?

Funny thing is that they didn't even bother gathering fleet to attack my vassal - it was very, very weak nation, one planet, fleet way below 1k.
The AI improvements in 3.3.* are to make the AI handle its economy better, it hasn't done anything to the way the AI moves and positions its fleets during wars.

Thx for the answer - is there some temporary fix maybe? I mean - to rollback steam version to 3.3.1? (I don't saw that version in steam previous patches unfortunately)

The Microsoft store just updated. So no temporary fix necessary! :)

There's no strategy involved other than choosing what you strike first, it would be better if you had to control ships individually, instead of having a manager for ship equipment you build or buy it and equip it on the ships.

Ship combat needs to be less automated and be more managed by the player, controlling deflectors, turning your ship and flanking the enemy, disabling certain parts of a ship. Which ships do i attack this with and which ships do i attack with first, all important decisions that should matter in any space simulator.

Combat is just so boring in stellaris, right click attack done, take over system.

Hm. This is a new one for me. Can you open a ticket at support.paradoxplaza.com, and Customer Support will look into this issue?

Are you and your friend both on Steam? If both of you are on 3.3.2, it seems likely that one of you has a mod running, or a corrupted/edited game file.

The correct checksum (the number in brackets after the version number) should be 87f3. Whoever doesn't have that, needs to disable their mods. If that doesn't work, you can try verifying game files (Right click Stellaris, Properties, Local files, Verify Local Files), and if that doesn't work, delete the entire Steamapps/Stellaris/ folder (not the one in /documents/), and reacquire it from Steam.

If all that stuff doesn't work, then open a ticket at support.paradoxplaza.com, and Customer Support can help you. :)

Empire Size represents the investment needed to roll out a new technology or tradition across your empire. For example, a one planet empire will need to invest far less into rolling out a new version of a space toaster, than a 100 planet empire will. There is no way to counteract empire size, however, you will get far more benefits from expanding and building more Research/Unity buildings over staying small.

The current version should be 3.3.2 (87f3). If this is what your game says on the main screen, under "New Game" and "Multiplayer" then it's a bug, that you can report here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/stellaris-bug-reports.941/

If it says 3.3.2 and a different number than (87f3), you've got a mod that you haven't disabled yet, and that is likely causing your issue.

The real question is, how much were those scientists were getting paid if their wages were the equivalent of four month's income for an *entire planet* at the start of the game? :D
