Top priority isn't just an outward-facing thing we say to you guys; it means the same thing to the dev team as well. I'll quote Chris just for visibility's sake:

Regarding the skills bug: This is our highest priority right now and we understand how incredibly frustrating it can be. I died to it yesterday as well, I feel your pain. As pointed out already here in the thread, fixing this issue is something we want to do right to not include more bugs with it. That means it's taking a bit longer than we want but the dev team is hard at work to fix this. We're also planning to add other fixes to that patch, which hopefully will have a positive impact for everybody.

There have indeed been a lot of threads about difficulty, and we're sending all of the feedback on to the team (pro-changes and pro-status quo). I'm seeing ample amounts of both.

A couple of points worth making:
1. Don't flame each other. It's not worth it, and it won't change anyone's mind.
2. Be as specific as possible. What situations feel unfair? What feels challenging but balanced and fun?

As a LD/LA I can say that type of work is very fun and rewarding. Creating worlds from scratch. Don't forget that they use 3d models so 3d artists would also love some highfives. And art directors, concept artists, people who created technology for their engine to allow so many objects to be put on scene and so on... ;-)

I don't think there's any reason not to play around with in-game and out-of-game brightness settings to find a happy medium for yourself if possible. But we've certainly been seeing the threads about flashlights/NVGs and passing to the team. Thanks all.

It was in a reddit post, that i found after the game launched. Advertising a games content without stating that said content wont be available at launch is a low blow.

I dare you to find an official post, before march 12, stating WT5 wont be available at launch. I'll be waitting.
Tidal Basin and Operation Dark Hours were mentioned as part of the "post-launch plan" in a trailer we released. Tidal Basin is introduced with the line, "It all starts shortly after release..."

Can you provide us with a screenshot of your mega map and let us know what you've tried so far? We were confident to have fixed the issue, but maybe we only fixed parts of it. Thanks for helping out with your report!
