I'm sorry to hear about the rough experience you're having, BloodedPhoenix. I know there are plenty of players on these forums willing to provide assistance or share some tips and tricks from their play time. That is random though. It may not appear random, but randomness isn't about results - it's about process. There may be someone out there wondering whether an LMG is ever going to drop for them.

There's also in-game vendors & crafting that might be worth looking at.
