So the firing range is crashing even without manually tweaking graphics variables? Perhaps the next step is to do a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers?

@GrammyPatty Looking into this, there's a misunderstanding here. There isn't a chance of getting shards from Event packs.

Your earned shards were from finishing the event. You then opened a standard Apex Pack straight away afterwards, not an Event pack.
It sounds like this final Apex pack was mistaken for an Event pack.

Hi, sorry for not getting an answer before event start, but I did get a confirmation. 

Yes, if can still complete the event and earn Heirloom shards to "bank", even if you have already attained all previously released Heirlooms.

Thanks. Sorry for lack of clarity, a router power cycle is when you turn it off for a few moments, and then start it back up. This can clear cached data and can fix issues. It's less effective with more modern routers, but it's still worth trying. 

Thanks for trying the other account,  at least that eliminates an account-based issue. 

For the next step can you try restarting with a Clean Boot, to discount potential conflicts with 3rd party software?

It's also worth re-whitelisting the game and Steam on your security software, in case that's a factor.

Thanks, for bringing it to our attention, that has gone missing in the past, but verifiably reappeared too. @AvoidedUniform Can I check when you last noticed the skin?

This is the sort of thing that will likely need to be addressed in a patch/server side update rather than an individual grant

They certainly look similar, but those are different skins. 

One is Recluse, the other is Surprise Party.

Thanks, it sounds like there are either driver errors or hardware failures at play here. Fortunately the former is far more likely, and easier to fix. 

The best next step is a clean reinstall of your GPU drivers. Corrupted drivers can sit and persist through updates, so a clean reinstall is the way to go.

Hey, if you wipe your local Apex settings file -which will be trying to set your resolution when you start- does that change anything?

 

If you go to C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local you'll find a videoconfig.txt file. 

If you delete this, then start the game, it should do a quick check and then recreate the files with settings for your system. 



If this has no impact, you can open the videoconfig file with Notepad and change "setting.fullscreen" "1" to "setting.fullscreen" "0"

That should launch the game in a smaller window, then once you're in the game itself you can mess around with the available screen settings.
