Original Post — Direct link

This is my 2nd forum post seeing as I cannot see my last one. I woke up this morning to find that my account had been permanently banned due to "cheating" I have never cheated on any game and I'm confused on first off why I was banned, my account has 2fa and a very long password, I also checked my game replays and the only ones there were games I remember playing. So its definintly not an issue of someone hacking my account and using it as a cheating account. And I'm also confused as to why I Haven't been unbanned yet. I put in an appeal nearly 5 and a half hours ago explaining my situation to no avail. Has this always been an issue? I see other people on the forums explaining their situation similar to mine, Or is this something new?

Hey MajinBuusBoobs,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I have reviewed your ticket and can see what you're referring to.

Regrettably as the appeal was denied, our Support team is unable to assist you any further with this.

If you do however have a strong case and firmly believe there was a mistake somewhere, you might have some luck contacting BattlEye, however I do not want to set any expectation for this.

If you have already gone through the steps below, we will need you to wait for our response.

The team involved in ban appeals is very busy presently and replies are taking longer than usual.

Hi there, @GARV3Y.

It's possible your account was hacked. To get help with that, please see the following article. For the ban, you'll need to wait until the investigation completes for more information. ToS will email you when that happens so keep an eye out. Thanks!

@JJayhawk2024
If that turns out to be the case, you're welcome to send in a second appeal to have a separate person from the Terms of Service team look through everything again.

Ultimately the decision for an initial ban and any appeals are based on what we can verify in our records for the game and account activity.

That's something that can only be done by the TOS team and they'll have the final say, so it really just depends on what they find in their review(s). Mako.png

@JJayhawk2024
That would be based on our internal records and information, so not something we would share I'm afraid, no.

You should have received an email with some general information, but there wouldn't be anything as specific as a particular play available to share. Mako.png

Hi there, @NekoNoTenshi.

Nobody will be able to go into detail on why you were banned. You're just told the general reason for it. The best you can do is submit a dispute. That can be done through the following article. Thank you.

@NekoNoTenshi

You were emailed the reason for your ban. We can't discuss this on Answers HQ, but you're welcome to contact an advisor and they can tell you the general reason for your ban. They won't go into greater detail than you were given in the email though. Keep in mind, when you first play our games you agree to the Terms of Service. When these are violated, action can and most likely will be taken against your account.

@NekoNoTenshi

Those emails are sent by real people. Not bots. Yes, they will use a canned email, but they are sent by a real person that investigates the account. If there have been multiple disputes submitted and none have turned up evidence that the rules were not broken, it means they have found the account in violation through multiple, thorough investigations. There is nothing we can do to help through Answers HQ. I'm very sorry.

Hey @PapalFinger,

Afraid this is not something we're able to review on the forums, but if you reach out to our Terms of Service team they can absolutely take another look at that ban for you.

If you haven't already, you can create a case with the steps here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

They'll investigate and reach back out to you after email as soon as that is complete.

I'm afraid the forum staff aren't equipped to help with banned cases. It would be best to get in touch with the Terms of Service team by filling out the webform if you'd like to appeal the ban. Please check out this EA Help guide for guidance on how to do that: How to get more information about my ban or suspension

In terms of the Apex rules and what can result in bans, this article shares some information on that:  "Play by the rules in Apex Legends".

Hi @Flardryn01,

Your ticket/appeal has to enter a queue and once it reaches the top of that queue it then needs to be investigated which differs each time as no two cases are identical. I'll share this quote from here "When will I hear from you about a ban or suspension?":

@EA_Help wrote:

We review each form we get on a case-by-case basis. While we try as hard as we can to reply within five business days, we’re human. Sometimes we’ll need longer to do it right.

Look for emails from [email protected]. We send our first emails about bans and suspensions and our replies to you from that address.

Essentially, there isn't any set time we could offer for a response.

Hi @Flardryn01,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Your tag got lost in a sea of notifications.

If you're in any way concerned your appeal case is not on it's way to the Terms of Service team, definitely link in with the support team.  Keep in mind, the support team are in the same position we are here on the forums, they can't help with the ban itself or investigate it. They will, however, be able to double check the case statues for you and help to ease those concerns or if the case failed to send to Terms of Service the advisor will correct that asap, etc. Once they get a good look at it, they'll be better able to chat to you about your case.

You can connect with them using one of these channels:

  • EA Help website - Phone/Chat/Email - Availability may vary
  • Twitter - Select the message icon to get assistance
  • Facebook - You can select the 'send message' option on the accounts home page

Hello @bokumore

Your account can be temporarily sanctioned for varying amounts of time due to repeatedly breaking the Siege Code of Conduct or disconnecting from Ranked matches multiple times or being reported by other players. You can also be given a permanent ban, depending on what the offence was.

The actions that can lead to temporary and permanent bans can include >
- Toxic behaviour in-game
- Inappropriate voice or text chat
- Repeated disconnections
- Cheating or using an unfair advantage
- Illegal behaviour/activity
- Account buying/selling

Please read our updated Code of Conduct here > https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/rainbow-six/siege/news-updates/4h4MEtQwhxnOtNrH6KGMi2/rainbow-six-siege-code-of-conduct

Ubisoft Support are unable to lift any temporary bans as this is handled automatically by the game.

Permanent bans may be appealed, but we can only do this once for your account. You can get in touch with us about this, via this link > https://www.ubisoft.com/help/contact

We are unable to discuss player's bans in the forum in detail, so this thread will be closed. Thank you for understanding.

Hey @0H7Fp2Oe5t,

If this all took place while you were away and not even accessing the account, I would definitely go through these security steps as much as possible to make sure no one else may have access to your account info.

After that point please try creating a new appeal with these steps rather than resuming a prior case. That will send the appeal directly to our Terms of Service team to have them investigate this situation further.

If that's also still giving you trouble, I would suggest reaching out to support directly. They will be unable to review the ban itself, but can help make sure the account has been re-secured and should be able to make sure your case is passed along to the ToS team from that point.
