It sounds like his account might already be connected with your EA Account. If that's the case, I'm afraid there isn't really a way to link it up with a different EA Account.

Hey there,

 

If you haven't already can you try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that makes any difference at all? If there is something else running that might be interfering with EAC that might help to get around it.

Another patch just went out earlier today that should help with the issue you mentioned. Have you tried playing since today's update? If so, can you let me know if you're still getting stuck on the same screen?

Gotcha, thanks! What happens if you start up your PC in a Clean Boot before you launch the game? If there is something else running that might be causing issues with the mouse cursor that may help to get around it.

Can you give us a bit more info on what's happening? Is it not giving you the option to enable the overlay, or is it just still giving you that same error even though you enabled the option?

In regards to the UI issues you've been seeing, it is usually related to the command line arguments like you mentioned. Off the top of my head, I'm afraid I don't know specifically which of these arguments would be causing the issue. In other cases where I've seen this issue, removing the command line arguments will stop the UI flickering issues.

Do you have any overlays running when you're playing Apex Legends? If so, can you try disabling them to test and see if that helps at all? I've seen some cases where overlays can cause some issues with window focus, so I'm curious if that might be happening in this case as well.

Hey everyone, 


Thanks for the updates. Have you tried setting a different DNS to see if that helps at all? In some cases using a different DNS can help with issues like this. If you're playing on Xbox you can change the DNS settings using the following steps: 

 

1. Open the Xbox Settings and go to Network

2. Select Advanced Settings

3. Choose DNS Settings and select Manual

4. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but if there's a different DNS that you would rather use instead that would be OK as well.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I reviewed the case you created with the EA Help team. While we can certainly take this as a bug report, please keep in mind that we don't have the ability to help directly with missing content here on Answers HQ. The EA Help team would need to review the account and determine what is missing and what can be recovered. If they were unable to validate that something is missing, they would have to deny the claim.
