Not sure that this is the right place but where can I put in suggestions or qol/bug notes like the slayer task bit. Is there an official place for players to put these that is actually reviewed?
I'd suggest putting that on one of our Q&A posts where we ask for questions for our weekly Q&A. Even if it's not asked on the Q&A, I'll go through the post and put the suggestions into our internal docs.
They might have explained this in a previous blog, but what are Ecumenical key shards, and where do you get them? Are they a replacement for getting full keys at the Wildy GWD, or are they dropped by minions in the Ancient Prison?
You can bypass the KC requirement with an Ecumenical Key.
They're dropped from Nex only.
Ecumenical Key Shards are untradeable.
50 shards can be converted into one key.
If you’re capped out on Ecumenical Keys, you won’t be able to forge a new one
Anyone else underwhelmed by the boss? Watching woox stream and everyone already knows how to kill nex, so there's not really any learning involved. Haven't seen any deaths, no huge hits.. seems pretty boring tbh
Since it's just released, there's a lot of players in big groups of 80 players or so. We think it'll be even more interesting to watch smaller groups try to take her on. There will be a lot more pressure and she'll probably hit harder!

Any reason it wasn't called nexling jr, since all the other godwars pets are called this way?
I'd assume because the actual boss is called Nex. So it'd either have to be "Nex Jr" or "Nexling". :3
Monster Examine is not currently powerful enough to examine Nex’s stats.
My favorite part of this update. It's gonna be just like old times for the first few weeks, where people are speculating on what's BiS. We won't know whether DWH lowers its stats or how quickly it's stats refresh. We won't know defensive values, so won't know what weapons are BiS.
It's gonna be trial and error and I can't wait.

I just asked the devs. It's called Nexling I believe! I think you can see it already if you rush to the Menagerie. They're now joking about all the alternative names we could've used :P It's very cute haha.

This particular live stream was 63 mins long and had 25 topics. 8 of those minutes were into, out to and nex trailer. The longest discussion any topic got was 7 minutes about the wilderness being safer, etc. In total all PvP questions added up to 17 minutes.
Does Jagex feel this short of a time, and 25 topics in an hour gives the ability to express the point/answers adequately?
The obvious answer then is dev blogs, but we all know that isn't the same. We all know text is much harder to parse than speech. Everyone has sent or received an email where the intent or direction was misunderstood.
Further, an example issue is the "Nex is weak to crossbows" from one blog. The only reference players have for that is "Corp is weak to spears" or "Nightmare is weak to crush". The obvious implication is Nex will take reduced damage from all but crossbows. Then Husky clarified...
Agree that podcasts would be huge value. I think the team would also be up for it. However, it is yet to be decided whether this is something we can do on stream or if it requires us to be in the studio (for good/better microphones etc). Maybe something we can try to achieve in the new year but I can’t promise it until we have a plan sorted for how it would work and what work is involved :)
I still can't log in. The client keeps saying it's unable to connect to steam. I've tried restarting both steam and my pc to no avail.
Have reported this to our engine team. I think since they're still investigating the cause of the original server issue, a direct answer to this might take some time. Apologies. I'll let you know when I hear back on a solution.

Hey guys, we're investigating the server issues at the moment causing players to not be able to log in. I'll update as soon as I know more!
- News module is also not working- It also looks like our Payments system isn't working
Update: We had a fix which was in testing, however this didn't seem to fix the issue so we're back to investigating a fix and I'll update when the team has let me know it's working.
Update 2: So it looks like the situation is improving as more regions are getting back online. But there's still a couple of regions which are having more trouble coming back on than the others. The team is investigating and I'll let you know when you can expect 100% of the issues to be fixed.
