Yes unfortunately trophies will not be earned retroactively in a lot of cases and in some instances will only be unlocked by repeating the same action/completing the same quest again on another platform. If however the trophies are not unlocked after repeating the same action again please let us know which you've noticed aren't working correctly and we'll investigate further. Thanks.

Just to clarify is the issue that you should have the quest in your quest log and it's not appearing or do you have the quest but it's not progressing past a certain point? Thanks!

Sorry to hear you've encountered this. The team are aware of this issue and it's under active investigation at the moment. In the meantime some players have reported that capping their FPS to 60 has helped to resolved this issue.

If possible could you provide us with a video demonstrating this we could pass on to the team please? We have a similar issue to this one open at the moment but a different spawn location so we'll raise this for further investigation alongside the one that's already open. Thanks!

There is a slightly odd workaround for this issue that might help to resolve this in the meantime. Some players confirmed they were able to get the children to move to their correct locations by pushing them towards the bonfire while mounted on a horse. Once they did this the children then go to their correct position and were able to be interacted with.
