Hey Niki,

we're not planning to get rid of islands and only have one large landmass on a map.
One of the core pillars (and challenges) of the Anno series is settling islands with limited space and resources and setting up trade routes to supply your cities.

Hey there, we released the full "Imperial Pack" last year for Anno 1800's first anniversary for free, so you should own it also.

If you start a new game, can't you choose the Imperial Pack during set-up?

There are no plans to implement community mods into the game.

They are their own projects and we're happy to see what kind of ideas the modding community comes up with. Just keep in mind that mods are not officially supported and might cause issues or lead to bugs.

There might be a teaser or two in the game, but not all Easter Eggs are necessarily teasers :P

If you are having issues with a purchase or activation, please get in touch with with the support of the place you bought it from and/or the Ubisoft Support to investigate the problem.

This is not true, since we replied several times both in the English and the German forums - as well as to questions on Reddit and the social channels.

Unfortunately, we currently do not have an ETA for the fix, that's why we have not communicated a date yet.

@Pine_RS: No worries. The issue with "unlocked but locked" to our knowledge only affects the "rewards" in Ubisoft Connect, which were supposed to be unlocked for everyone with the switch from Uplay to Ubisoft Connect. These items:

Hey there, going by your description and the thread you linked this is all happening on old savegames?
To my knowledge, the issue should be fixed since GU 4 in July last year and I haven't seen any recent reports about it. Unfortunately, it's not always possible to apply fixes to existing savegames.
Apologies if this is causing you frustration.

Feel free to send me your affected savegame so our devs can have another look and check if there's another way to retroactively fix the problem.

If you started a savegame after this date and encounter this issue, let us know and please also provide a savegame for investigation.

The issue discussed in this thread appeared with the switch from Uplay to Ubisoft Connect at the end of October this year.

Hey, haven't heard of such an issue before and also didn't encounter it myself.
If you're using mods, please disable them as PoPPYTAT suggested.
Please also verify the game files, just to be sure.

If the issue persists, feel free to send me the affected savegame and ideally record a small video clip showing the problem

Never heard of such an issue before, to be honest.

Please check for 3 things, which I could imagine could otherwise cause issues:
- Anno 1800 should be launched as admin
- Savegames are saved in Documents/Anno 1800. Some players upload their Documents folder automatically to the cloud (Windows One Drive) by default - the game does not like this
- An antivirus software or firewall could be protecting the folder from access or is blocking Anno 1800 from accessing it. Please check if any of your security software is interfering.

Otherwise, our technical support - as linked by Humility - is the best way to move forward. Ideally attach a small video clip of the issue.

Hey chronis2010, could you please try verifying your game files directly in Uplay and check if that solves the issue?
The check will detect any corrupted or missing files and redownload them.

If the issue persists, let us know
