I'm going to link to the official documentation. Specifically, I have provided you with a link to the documentation on Asset Bundles.

This page contains various sections. If you're inexperienced with modding, just focus on the section about master bundles – the other information is generally not going to apply to you, and are not that important. Content bundles are deprecated and documentation is only kept for legacy support, and individual asset bundles are just an alternative for people needing a quicker iteration time during a fast development cycle.

Now, it sounds like you might be brand n...

And a different device in my network is using port forwarding now so how do I stop using it on that device so I can start using it on this one? (Because you can't use port forwarding on multiple devices in the same network right?)

Yes – to customize settings like max players or server name to something other than the default, you will still need to use the Commands.dat file.

Multiple devices can utilize forwarded ports on the same network, just not the same ports at the same time. If you can't use port 27015, then choose a different starting port (e.g., 27018).

And can you explain what SteamCMD is and what it's used for?

So I just need to use the commands.dat file?

Generally, no. The Commands.dat file is one of two configuration files for server settings, but it is not instrumental in setting up an Internet server instead of a LAN server. The only relevant part of the Commands.dat file would be if you were to use a different starting port than the default (the default is 27015), or if you have a multi-router setup in which case you may need to bind a specific IP (this does not apply to a vast majority of people).

Nothing has changed regarding the default ports that need to be forwarded (which are still 27015, 27016, and 27017). If you knew how to port forward three years ago, you should still be find. If not. refer to: ...

Depends on which iteration. The precursor to Unturned is a Roblox game called Deadzone, which came out before Rust.

Unturned first began in 2013 as a browser game, and was the spiritual successor to Deadzone. It also came out before Rust.

The Steam version of Unturned came out in 2014. Rust was already available on Steam. Both games were in early access.

Unturned left early access in 2017, and Rust in 2018. These are the dates shown on Steam's store pages.

I personally don't think Deadzone counts, and instead start from the browser iteration of Unturned, when talking about dates. It really doesn't matter much to me anyways though. Facepunch does some cool stuff!

Not every vehicle can have its tires removed. What vehicle are you trying to remove the tires of?

For the sake of context then, here's a list of the skills tied to each skillset:

  • Civilian: not applicable
  • Firefighter: Cardio, Strength
  • Police Officer: Exercise, Toughness
  • Spec Ops: Dexterity, Sharpshooter
  • Farmer: Agriculture, Survival
  • Fisher: Diving, Fishing
  • Lumberjack: Outdoors, Warmblooded
  • Worker: Crafting, Engineer, Mechanic
  • Chef: Cooking, Vitality
  • Thief: Parkour, Sneakybeaky
  • Doctor: Healing, Immunity
  • Overkill is the only skill that is not tied to any skillset.

When you die, you lose a percentage of your skills and experience. You do not lose skills that are a part of your skillset, which can be changed from the main menu. In the skill menu, you can see what skills are tied to each skillset, by the little icons next to each skill.

Revisiting the pros and cons of soft vs rigid joints.

Unturned II development is slow and challenging because I want it to be as close to perfect as possible. Conversely, developing improvements for Unturned 3.x is fast and easy because it is far from perfect.

The flaws in the current character design have been nagging at me. Negative feedback on the removal of "fingerless" gloves was the breaking point; I decided that a review of the character should be prioritized. While I did experiment with some ideas earlier this year, I am hesitant to make any firm decisions without feedback because changes may stray too far from the classic Unturned character design.

One of the tasks I worked on this week was creating an alternative character design proposal. It features similar proportions, but adds hands, feet, and rigid joints. Exact dimensions (especially the width of the hands) are subject to change. My thought here is that i...

Thank you all for participating in the giveaway! We have randomly chosen a winner. Congratulations to u/CyberGlitchBadger for winning; please check your DMs for more details! 🥳

The official campaign launch of the limited-edition Chef Zombie plush starts tonight (June 10) at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time! Once the campaign launches on the Makeship store, you can purchase your own Chef Zombie plush.

Here was CyberGlitchBadger's entry into the giveaway, detailing their most fond moment:

Summer of 8th grade, relatively soon after I got the game and set up a server. At this point I was still a KOS'r (forgive me) and I ran into a farm with a sportshot and opened fire on some random guy. He survived and we heard gunshots in the distance. He asked if I wanted to team up with him...

There were no "3.0 keys". 3.0 has always been playable by everyone. Crimson Berets were not given to people for playing 2.0.

EDIT: To clarify a bit, the Crimson Beret and Gold Beret cosmetics were given to people who obtained Unturned 2.0 through a product key, prior to the game's official release.

You aren't "importing spawn tables from maps". Spawn tables are not tied to maps in any way, unless they're using the legacy spawn system (which are not referencable).

Spawn tables are stored in text files similar to individual item/vehicle properties and any other asset. As such, they have IDs which can be referenced. There is no hard restriction on how many spawn tables you can add to a map.
