Curious bug, we haven't seen something like this before.

Got to ask, though: Are you using any mods, even if there's no specific one that would allow such behaviour?
The AI should generally still be restricted to the same buildings as the players. Did you (or anyone else) encounter something similar before? (or with other buildings?)

If you'd let us know about these points, that would be great.

Hey. Any updates on this? :)

As I left Ubisoft a few months back, I could no longer speak to Anno 1800's ongoing development.

If you could provide us your affected savegame, that would be very useful for us :)

Hello @Irishoholic, thank you for your sharing your thoughts and ideas on changes you would like to see made to saving games.

I will move this thread to our player General Discussion section of the forum to see if there are other players who would like to contribute to this topic, so it can be seen by other players discussing the current gameplay, and also our game devs.

If you have any more feedback about the game, please make sure to post this in our General Discussion area of the forum, as the Player Support section is more for bug reporting and technical issues, thank you!

Thank you for reporting this and thanks u/taubenangriff for the tag.

Would you, by any chance, be able to share your savegame with me? Feel free to upload it somewhere and send me the link. Thanks a lot!

This has nothing to do with punishing: Steam has its own release schedule for DLC and games to which we of course also have to stick, that is 7PM CEST.

On our own platform we can set the release time differently, and a 3PM release works not only better for us (it's still during our working hours) but also means a more convenient time for our players in certain time zones.

Hey, the DLC as well as Game Update 15 will release today at 3 PM UTC+2 on Ubisoft Connect/Epic and 7 PM UTC+2 on Steam

I love especially showing already owned items at traders!

But didn't they want to rework the decorations menu to make it more handy? I remember reading something like that. I always have to search for the items I want...

That is still on our radar, but yes, not happening with this update yet :)

  • Jornaleros - Mail, Work Clothes, Felt, Teff

  • Obreros - Mail, Spectacles, Illuminated Scripts

Arctic Explorers and Technicians will get mail. Tourists, Enbesan Shepards and Elders will not get mail. Scholars will get research papers; unclear if they will get other types of mail.

Note that they didn't have the Tourist Season (and possibly High Life) DLC enabled on the stream so some goods may be missing (they only mentioned shampoo for the engineers). And, of course, they may have changed some goods since their stream.

Fine, okay, I didn't want to make a full list, but now that you started...

Farmers - Mail, Flour, Sugar, Jam

Workers - Mail, Rum, Hot Sauce, Penny Farthings

Tourists - Gramophones, Bombins, Leather Boots

Explorers - Mail, Bread, Tallow

Technicians - Mail, Rum, Dynamite

Shepherds - Wanza Timber, Grain, Ponchos

Elders - Cotton Fabric, Sewing Machines, Goose Feathers

Scholars - Mail, Saltpetre, New World Reports, Arctic Reports

Depends - what do you want to know? ;)

Every population tier gets these new Lifestyle Needs (and each of them gets different ones). Some of the goods they're asking for are base game goods, some will only be available if you own certain DLC and are, for example, able to deliver tapestries from Enbesa.
