Hi again and sorry about the delay! While the Silky Smooth update probably set a new record low for number of things broken by an update, we've still had a fair number of messages to keep track of in recent weeks.

We've unfortunately not been able to diagnose this issue yet, but I wanted to let you know it is being looked into, even if we haven't written back. If there's any new information, don't hesitate to post it here, and thanks for the details you already provided!

Hi everyone! Hi! Sorry to hear you've had issues following the update. Could you tell us a bit more – did you get any sort of error messages? Can you see the server in the server list? It's possible mods could also have an effect, so are you using any mods? The more details you can give, the easier it will be for us to figure out what's wrong :)

Hi! There have been many questions about Italian localisation here, so if you were to publish that as a mod, I am sure it would find users :) Thanks!

However, we are unfortunately not able to use any player-made translations as official content, because we need to be able to verify, and as needed, modify the translation – both to make sure it conforms to what we need, and also that it gets updated along with the game – and so the player-made translation would need to go through the proper localisation process in any case. I don't have definitive information about additional languages, but hopefully we can add more languages at some point! For the time being, we're very happy to see additional languages as workshop items.

Hi! This issue should be resolved by installing the required mod, as Schorote wrote, but you should also not be able to join the server without having installed the mods they're running, so we'll be taking a closer look at this.

The FPS drops are caused by how the game currently processes sound, especially door sounds can cause FPS to drop for almost half, easy to notice when running around the submarine and opening/closing doors. This has been fixed for the upcoming update coming in less than 5 days at the 26th.

Great discussion you have here - especially since you give us valuable feedback of what we can do better in the future. We already heard you loud and clear that the hosting situation and griefer issue are your main concerns at the moment (according to reviews, discord discussions and this forum). We are on it! As you might have heard there is an Update coming faster than you might think, that - if everything goes according to plan, will solve the issues that "caused you to stop playing".

This is a known issue caused by the latest patch, should be improved for the next one. For now I would recommend checking that the submarines reactor doesn't have its meltdown_warning wired as that is said to cause massive stuttering during gameplay.

1. It determines what kind of environment you'll be playing in and what kind of random events you might face during the mission. So, when you ramp up the difficulty, expect more moving ice chunks, sessile organisms that disrupt your sonar, volcanic activity, water currents and more frequent (and more dangerous) monster spawns.
2. Sort of. The seed determines the layout, size, biome, mineral spawns and the locations and layouts of the alien ruins. It's not possible to directly choose these properties using the seed, but when you use the same seed, you always get the same level.
3. Unfortunately no, although turning the difficulty up generally tends to generate longer levels.

We will most likely add some more detailed level settings to the multiplayer though, for example I think being able to choose the biome directly would be a really useful addition.
