Hello Travelers, and happy Saturday!

The weekend may have arrived, but that doesn’t mean the Pre-Patch Blog Post Hype Week has been paused! No, we don't have a set time yet. It will likely follow historic patterns of morning North America time so we have the most staff scheduled to be available for support for the most time after launch.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble here but you’ve severely over estimated the extra information that the CTs get.

All the “early patch notes” comes from people taking data from the game builds that we released publically during the test events. The builds we used for the test events had a very significant amount of changes that the CTs had never seen before those events started.

Edit: I’m also shocked by the assertion that we provide too much publically available information about the game when people ask. I literally check Reddit and the forums many times a day, every day, to try and answer questions and don’t hold back because it’s not on the discord.

As soon as we decided to have instanced loot, we thought of this and while we aren't quite ready to add it, I think it is something that will eventually make it in. Possibly not quite exactly like this but something similar.

Hello! I’d like confirm that the reason patch notes haven’t been posted is that we’re still working on them. We plan to post them before the 9th.

We decided not to release patch notes alongside the recent Multiplayer tests for a few reasons:

  • Focus our efforts on getting the game itself ready for the events
  • Avoid confusion if something in the patch notes changed again before the official 0.9 release.

Many of our social posts are previews of the content coming in 0.9, though they’re in more of a Showcase format than patch notes.

Skills are the topic that most often tends to take the spotlight in any ARPG. Whether you’re slicing through enemies with vicious heavy swings of a weapon or calling down meteors to destroy swaths of enemies in a single act, skills play one of the most defining roles in the experience of an ARPG. That’s why for 0.9, we’ve revisited many of our skills to improve their combat feel.

In some cases, this can mean mechanical adjustments to better allow a skill to fulfill its fantasy. I have no idea how up to date those videos are but in case they are old it would be nice to have maybe an updated video with maybe 10 more sec showing 3 or 4 more skills exactly in the way you see it in those short videos!

Ah yes, as the other person said it is a bit out of date. The general theming and style is pretty consistent though. I'll be honest, it was late and I guessed at the url, I didn't actually check the site.

You always get at least 1 shard from shattering. So if you find an item with just one affix, you will guaranteed get at least one shard of that affix when shattering.

Please re-read the initial announcement post and the accompanying FAQ. There is a lot of good info there and I think it would answer a lot of additional followup questions.

All characters, even after the system is released, will start off without a faction affiliation. All characters will have to go through the same process of joining a faction if you want. It doesn’t matter when the character was created.
