Is there wasd movement :pleading:
Same movement as on other maps
When will the new mode hit PBE if you don't mind me asking?
Tomorrow, barring any unexpected issues. Probably early afternoon LA time at a guess
They're not champion specific. You could get a doublecast Syndra ult or a doublecast Galio ult or whatever (though they're not all equally common and there's a pretty large pool of them...)
Oh man I can't wait to cast Udyr R twice
Quickshot's hateboner for fnatic is getting quite tiring.
Lol.
No offense, but given all design team's track records over the last few years, paying attention to any of their ideas on how a champ is supposed to do things seems pointless until half the kit is inevitably removed due to lack of foresight everyone except the design team saw coming.
Definitely not offensive
The difference between Zed and most other assassins is that he can be outplayed even if you're out of position - his Q is a thin skillshot, if he uses W to gapclose then he can't use it to deal damage or follow you after you flash/dash away, if he ults, you know where he's going to reappear so you know where to aim your skillshots and he shouldn't be able to kill you with AAs and E alone unless he's already omega fed
Naafiri just sounds like an even simpler Talon or Pantheon to me but she's not going to help anybody learn an assassin like Zed or Qiyana
That isn't the point; the difference between champions within a class is the micro. How do you combo spells together, aim key skillshots, use flash effectively? However, zooming out, the goal of Naafiri is to make an assassin who teaches you the macro fundamentals of Assassin gameplay. Some of these are choosing your targets, finding key roam opportunities, not striking too early, and avoiding trading 1-for-1 into scaling-advantaged teams. Sure, by playing Lethality Nocturne, Talon, or Naafiri you won't learn how to triple shuriken combo on Zed, but you will have a better understanding of the role of an assassin and when/where their win conditions lie.
That certainly was a game of league of legends. I am fully aware not everyone will like the off topic discussion, but the gameplan was always to go a little off screen if the pace slowed down as we expected. Part of our job is to try make a game entertaining without constantly focusing on every little small mistake... For two teams struggling this was a hard game to cover, hopefully you D4 players got a little giggle out of the references.
Is there any reason to believe this champ won't be absolutely broken like every other new champ?
I’m working on her so probably will be
Trust me, you do not. The first game took, aaaaaages to get done, and all the meantime where they just kept making nunu noises
Actually... maybe you do want to
I kinda wish they did this live

I see, thanks. Will be interesting to play, hopefully it isn't sent to the limited gamemode depths never to be seen again.

I also hope this.
We NEED ro have this in customs. It's the perfect custom game mode for a group of friends honestly. I was really hoping it was gonna be a thing from the beginning.
Yeah, I'd love customs as well, but unfortunately the tech would've taken a shocking amount of time to get in. If the mode does well, we're likely going to run it again and we'll be taking a look at adding customs from the get go.
How many people can queue up in a party? Is it limited to 2 or could 4 friends queue up and become two of the teams in a game?
Just two for first release. If the mode is popular and we bring it back, its top of the list of features we're looking at.
Hello, hope you're having a good weekend. I just finished watching August's stream and he was saying somthing that I found a bit concerning, not sure if you can shed some light on the situation or simply just have a conversation about it.
August seemed a bit sad and was even hinting that Briar could be his last project. I'm paraphrasing here, but he started saying how creativity and autonomy when it comes to champion ideation has been decreasing year after year. Champion ideas are mostly handed down from management. Champion designers don't get to "pitch" champion concepts anymore and just end up receiving such work from up top.
How do you feel about that?
Feels incorrect to me. It is true that every once in awhile we do a Champion that has a very defined opportunity space, and that is handed to a DNA team. To be clear that isnt handed to the DNA team from upper management, its handed to them by the Leadership team ON the champions team, of which August is a part of since he is a design lead. Ultimately the Product Owner approves the opportunity spaces before a team starts on them but they are usually generated by and created by other people, many of times from members of the Champions Team. The only time they are "handed down" is for stuff like Senna, but even then, that was a opportunity space I put together as Lead of the team, and also talked to the team about it and the team was SUPER excited to make her, so it wasn't like we "forced" it on the team.
Viego came about when August himself came to me after Sennas release and said we should do the Ruined King now, since tons of players were asking about him with Sennas rele...
Read moreThe client wouldn't give progress towards the characters from playing. Eventually they just handed everyone the rewards since it was bugged. It wasn't the VN itself, but the reward system. It seemed more like a server side issue. Which could absolutely happen for this new one too, tbf
This was based on challenges we faced within the missions service powering the event.
Hey Reav3 are you able to share if the cameo champs will be the SF champs going forward or is that just going to be unique to event, like the Ruined map for Ult Spellbook, and you guys will swap them out.
Its just unique to this event
Why is something like this, that presumeably takes a lot more effort to build then something like URF, limited time? That just seems like a wildly dumb choice to me.
We don't want to release something permanently if players don't love it. We end up splitting our focus between too many things and then it restricts us making new things. If it goes well, we'll bring it back.
Is there any chance that we can play this with a custom lobby? We have a group of ~10 friends that we play league with and can never play game modes together. 2v2v2v2 would be so cool with all friends.
We won't for the first release, but its something we really want to add in the future (a lot of our team members want to play that way as well).
The are basically stage hazards
