What overlays are you running (Blitz etc)? Happen with or without this

Did running the game in DX9 mode help? NO

Did running with SMT/Hyperthreading turned off help? No

PD: I have tried all configurations, drivers and performance profiles.
It's something that already has me frustrated, my pc can give a lot of fps and in LoL it goes down to 70 and then it stays in that range regardless of the quality it has.
Another thing I want to add is that my rtx is 125w, but yesterday I installed cpu-z and it tells me that it is 80. Until then I don't know what to do, because the manu...

Are you Alt-Tabbing out on purpose? Looks like you did it 50 times in that game. Either that or you're losing focus for some other reason.

This is why the riot forums were the best place for y'all to communicate. Too many places that we have to look at to get answers from y'all leads to people getting tired of looking and giving up. People shouldn't have to follow every single social media account of every single rioter out there. It's too confusing and too scattered. The one stop show was the best way to do things and y'all blew it away.

The only solace that we had WAS Surrender@20 but now that's sadly going away, it appears. There's zero hub for y'all's communications and it feels bad. The only way I know if any of you say anything is r/leagueofriot and that doesn't even cover Twitter or anything outside of reddit. It just sucks for the community. I don't want to have to follow all of...

I think communication is valid, and important, and something the team values. It's something I'll bring up with the team and we'll see if it makes sense to come up with a better solution.

On things taking time - absolutely, stuff happens, stuff takes longer. But imo even though you can't always develop changes quickly, you can always communicate consistently. Maybe something like garena you can't address while it's happening idk. But for instance when there are updates to behavioral systems or lcs formats, and riot announcmenets seem way less interested in substance or reasoning than people like tyler1 or travis are, that's when it feels like riot has packed the bags and given up.

Which I'm sure isn't true - definitely believe people are putting in effort! Even if there's nothing tangible now I'm sure there will be. But it'd be great if you could put more of substance out there.

I would LOVE a recurring segment where tyler1 gets to spend 30 minutes lobbing questions at phreak like "why'd you buff xyz" or "why don't you ban people for xyz" or whatever. Even if he couldn't speak to all of them I feel like people wou...

I think there's a lot of opportunities to communicate more. I also think there's reasons we can or can not communicate certain things. And as people have shared, League has been impacted a lot over the past few years, and so it's likely distracted from certain aspects of how we used to engage. I can assure you that will be different in the future.

I think in addition to what others have said, I think you could even compare League to itself here. Official channels of communication from you all (i.e. the News page on the main site). We no longer get Ask Riot articles. We get less frequent dev articles. We have less champ roadmaps. We no longer get quick gameplay thoughts (these were HUGE for communication). Now we get like one "big" drop at the beginning of the year and a couple champion insights articles.

I understand it's hard to balance not making promises you can't keep and being transparent, but I think communication was so much better a couple years ago.

I appreciate that. I think that a lot of us are trying to communicate more, and you see that with Phroxzon, and Truexy etc.

But I also think it's important to look at the recent comms this week, and how a subset of the player community has responded, and then reflect on why it is that Riot might be reticent to be more communicative with the community.

I'm glad Esports is popping off but that's not the game I play so until I see some actual big positive changes to the game, I'm not gonna keep my hopes up.

What is the big positive changes you're looking for?

I don't know specifically what Faker said (re MMR) as I don't speak Korean so I'm dependent on translation, but just for clarity, this would be an issue with _matchmaking_ not MMR. MMR is simply a representation of your skill level, and while it's a factor in who you are matchmade with, it would not be the culprit causing his perceived disparity.

I also am unclear here what he's even referring to, as MMR/Matchmaking wouldn't factor into snowballing - unless the system was completely broken and it just stacked a bunch of high skilled players against low skilled players, which it should not do.

Can you please acknowledge the fact that people have been having fps issues besides the one you fixed a month ago? I have had randomly unplayable games since the beginning of last year. I have a hunch that its an issue with the way windows interacts with the league client, maybe start there.

I have repeatedly acknowledged that there is more than one frame rate issue with League. And there will always be - this game releases every two weeks with new code and content, and problems will slip through. We do our best to test for these, and we fix what we find, but it is impossible to test for every possible issue.

As for the League Client being the issue, there are options to shut it down on lower spec machines when playing. And hunches don't help - data does. If you have an issue, send me an RPD. The posters on this thread have already highlighted some serious issues that we're chasing down now - all because they took the time to help with an RPD.

They'll be a micropatch to add in compensatory buffs to him. As noted elsewhere, Jak'Sho stacks differently with him now and we overshot the impact it would have.

Certainly for at least some of them, but not necessarily with the same implications for game balance. Bot carry very likely has a related pattern with the set of mages who tend to counter ADCs, for example, since nearly every matchup is vs an ADC.

Using Pantheon as an example, his mid lane win rate appears to (and there are LARGE caveats on this analysis, so I emphasize "appears to") be inflated because he is both sharp in terms of who he counters and is countered by AND because the things he sharply counters are so much more popular than the things he is countered by. If every champion was exactly equally popular, his average win rate would very likely fall quite a bit in that position even with no gameplay changes.

(The inverse pattern is found on Akshan - his mid lane win rate is depressed by the fact that Yasuo is very strong counter to him, which gives him the appearance of being better top lane sometimes)

I did some digging on this right before the holidays. Zed, Yasuo, Katarina, Yone, Sylas, Akali are all top tier popularity champions in mid lane and there've been patches where at least one of them is in something like 30-40% of all games as a mid (it varies - but not as much by win rate as you might think, the patches where these go down tend to be when there's a new mage midscope, or Viktor got a huge and permanent playrate spike from Arcane, that sort of thing, not necessarily the patches where they're relatively weaker or stronger).

The thing that makes this hard is that they all have weaknesses to a specific profile - durable stat checkers with a reliable CC. It's pretty hard to get reliable data on true toplane bruisers midlane because they're so unpopular there, but aggregating the data from patches 12.17 through 12.21, we were able to get a decent dataset on Renekton, Riven, and Sett. I looked at Pantheon as well because even though he's played mid lane, he fits the...

Oh, lol, no worries.

Out of curiosity (seeing as you're a Shaco enthusiast), since he's a fairly old champ who needs a visual update at the very least, I'm always interested in player mains' takes on champ changes.

Disregarding the whole box issue, just kit/mechanics/playstyle loop, if Riot ever decides to change part or all of his kit, is there anything you'd like to see changed for the better, in your eyes? Is there anything on him that currently bugs you right now you'd wish they'd change or fix?

Thanks for your time! GL on the rift!

Overall, I love the playstyle Shaco offers, especially as AP. No other champion plays quite like him.

I love how versatile his boxes and clone are — tanking, dodging, scouting, zoning, bamboozling, and more. His clone has this rare quality that I call an "induced silence" — the enemy is free to use their damaging abilities, but they will be punished if they do, so they are often effectively forced to silence themselves. He has so many ways to prevent an ability from landing, like dropping a box, dodging with R, positioning the clone, or buffering a Q (for tanking a hook).

Watching him use all of these toys and tricks is entertaining, and the enemy gets to participate in his comedic performance. Because of that, I actually think he fulfills the demon jester fantasy pretty well. No matter whether I'm doing well or poorly, I'll always be having a great time making funny plays — and probably laughing maniacally IRL.

Now, in my personal opinion, these ar...

  • Chainsword is 116% gold efficient , but requires the enemy to be <50% HP for full GW effect (and gives no AS or Crit).

  • Mortal Reminder is 118% gold efficient, and requires attacking a champion 3 times (ish) for full GW effect (and gives everything an ADC wants).

I'd say there's a clear line of Reminder > Putrifier > Morello > Thornmail > Chainsword.

Otherwise, the fact that all 4 other items have baby versions for much cheaper, whereas Putrifier shares Morello's component (which means 0 benefits on h...

I think that's a contributing factor but not the main one. Gold is extremely multiplicative in League of Legends. If you know you need a given team utility effect that isn't going to multiply out the rest of your fantasy, its an optimization for teams to put that option on the already low econ player. We've seen that in the past with the aura Aegis of the Legion being assigned to either supports or junglers years ago (depending on the meta).

The answer here about being a solved solution is also relevant, though those things will move over time based on changes. We've found players are really slow to respond to patches when we're talking about adjusting behavior over weeks, but actually pretty effective at responding to a new meta over a period of months, to my totally-not-scientifically-accurate understanding.

Don't expect to resolve the Enchanter item particular pain p...
