How come new items weren't brought up?
Figured it wouldn't be necessary as there are still a bunch of carryovers from the previous sets and most of the changes were just with spat items. Do you feel differently?

Hey i really loved seeing this! Was talking to a friend about this new set just yesterday and wished there was something like this to show him, only thing i missed was a part talking about the different universes, as i have only seen a few from streams and haven't been able to understand them completly.
Agreed! I think the elemental hexes from last set confused a lot of people who were coming over from Set 1. It's a hard balance between trying to explain everything and just giving enough that it doesn't become overwhelming. In the future, broad game changing mechanics like those are definitely something we want to find ways to fit in.
Since you said you were confused I'll do my best to explain here, sadly I don't have the same AI like voice as the video:
Every game you have a small chance to have your game altered. Currently there are two things that can happen. 1. Everybody in the game starts with two Neeko's helps. 2. The first carousel has all 4 cost units.
There will probably be more effects added throughout the set, but those are the two that are shipping first. Hope that helps!
When you say to add new talents do you mean irl or ingame? :P
irl :X
Hey Everyone, We tried something new for this Set, in creating an educational video to get people prepared for their first game, similar to what a Spotlight does. We plan to iterate on this for each set, so if you have feedback we'd love to hear it!
Could someone link to the logical arguments stuff that he talks about? I'd like to at least read it over, maybe even peruse it.
There’s a giant Wikipedia page on logical fallacies, but there’s probably a lot more to be found by googling and digging around a bit https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies
hey while you're at it, I think eternals broke the circle indicator for champion mastery points in the collection. they don't show any progress for me now, you can only tell by looking at the numbers
Great call out, you're right!
Context as to why this probably happened: As part of our client cleanup program, the champion collection page was one of the first things to get a ton of behind-the-scenes fixes and ember applications destroyed (the stuff that causes client slowdown). This was probably something that we missed in the process, but now that tab should be buttery smooth!
I'll let the team know about this. Thanks again!
awesome story, specially the part about the other language players :)
Hi! There's a bug with this that we're aiming to fix either this coming Monday or with the 10.6 patch. Your progress is still being captured and you won't need to do anything when the fix goes live!
I think what's happening is the school keeps updating the firewall so riot thinks were trying to ddos. That's what my teacher said anyways.
I support the high school initiative in OCE (Learn with League) and have helped some with this issue before. Either we're suspicious of the IP due to multiple logins or your school's firewall policy is actually preventing access.
If you contact player support they should be able to investigate and sort it out if it's on our end. If they can't determine if you're being blocked by us or your school, dm me with your ticket number and I'll chase it up.
Sounds like a bug. I’ll send this to the team.
I CANT OFFICIALLY TAKE A SIDE TO KEEP MY JOB
I JUST HOPE FOR A 45M BASE RACE WITH A DOUBLE FINAL ACE SO MINIONS FINISH THE GAME

External link →This is a visual bug that we're working on right now, and will have a fix for in 10.6. Your stats are tracking accurately, but the client has mismatched data from the game (we validate on both ends to make sure people can't game it).
Read moreDon't get me wrong-- I think the current Eternals system definitely has value. One of my friends, for example, is a Lulu one trick, and a huge SKT fan. Since Faker got his 2000th kill recently (basically a Faker eternal :P), my group decided that when she gets her 2000th Lulu knockup we're going out for drinks. That's so cool, and it would've been impossible without the Eternals system.
But I care about my friend, and I care about her achievements in League. At the end of the day, I don't really care about whether my teammate got his lifetime milestone or not, I care that about the plays they made in my game.
If I were Riot, that would be the largest issue to address right now. I believe a major reason why some players feel dissatisfied about Eternals is because they don't see why they should care about a teammate's achievements. I think players also understand that their teammates don't care about their Eternals. I think if these were addressed, Eternals would ...
Awesome stuff here. Really dig the idea about a post-game showcase. Much love. <3
So forgive my ignorance on his stream, but I noticed his entire minimap is not obeying vision rules. Lulu enters the fog of war and is not providing vision. He's not fully providing vision on his minimap in top lane. Is this an anti-stream sniper overlay?
Whatever the case, the rule IS that if you can't see the champion, you don't see a milestone if they do something out of your vision, so I can only assume they had vision of the dragon in that scenario and that's why the milestone played
I think botching “I’m not locked in here with you” is an LEC caster tradition at this point
You win some you int some. XD
Groovy

My issue with Eternals right now is that when you achieve a milestone for Eternals, it doesn't always correlate with having a big moment in game, and I think that's a major failure of the system.
Here's an example-- Braum has an Eternal that measures how much damage you have blocked with his E. I don't think this is a good Eternal because I don't care how much damage that my support Braum has blocked with his E over the course of his lifetime playing Braum.
If you told me that my ally Braum has blocked 400,000 damage with his E, I wouldn't know what that meant because there isn't any context as to how many games he has played with Braum. If he's played 400,000 games of Braum then I would be very concerned about his gameplay, and if he has played 1 game of Braum I'd think he was the best player ever.
I think this is the crux of the issue with Eternals. Because I don't care about my teammate's E...
I really shouldn’t be wading through Reddit before I go to sleep, but thank you for this feedback (and here I go postin’ again).
We love the idea of “max Eternals” where we capture single moments of glory. Massive Tryndamere crits. Huge Jhin passive hits. That kind of stuff is exciting, and we are absolutely interested in that idea for Series 2.
“Last fight Eternals” are an interesting idea I haven’t heard before. I see your point about relevant data here, but my concern would be around how we determine what cadence these fire at and what the threshold of success looks like. Are we calculating every minute and celebrating one person in particular? What is the threshold a player has to exceed to get the celebration? Things of that nature.
I actually think there is a combination of your ideas we could do that we have talked about a bit. What about this example for your Braum blocks:
Does "Series 1" Eternals mean that there soon will be a series 2?
I'd gladly justify the 6000RP price tag as long as it's genuinely relevant for long.
But since they're secured for every new champion released into the future, I hope they're unique for long.
Could you help a brother out? :-)
Series 2 is unlikely to be released for at least several months. Our initial belief is they would release at the beginning of every season, but we may run a few experiments between now and then in response to player feedback.
Loot took a moment to update. Should be fixed now!
