Stellaris won't launch from Xbox App Services. As far as I can tell the issue seems to be tied to the Launcher-Installer-Windows. It just aborts. forum.paradoxplaza.com forum.paradoxplaza.com ... Read more

I guess I must be misunderstanding this then. All games you started under 3.6.1 crash when you play them whether you are using 3.6.1 or 3.7.2 ? But new games you start under 3.7.2 do not crash?

Do I have that right now?

NeOPhAzE said: The save game file I provided is with the latest game version (before First Contact launch).
But the game version before First Contact launch is NOT the latest game version - it was 3.6.1 while the latest is 3.7.3 .

Again, I suggest you revert to 3.6.1 and try the game there.

If you tried via both Nakama and Steam MP, this is either a local network issue at one end or the other, or a problem with that particular galaxy.

Can you start and play a new one okay?

Sorry for the delay, I was on leave.

But this is not really a tech support issue - there is nothing you or I can do to the console edition to make it sync. Please post it in Console Bug Reports if not there already.

Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
- run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
- subscribe to a few mods

- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

I hope that does it for you!

I can see in that screenshot you have set the UI scale to 50%. Make it bigger.

Is this only happening in MP? Can you load that save in single player and play it okay?

And, can you start and play a new galaxy okay in MP?

You mean ones started under previous game patches? If so, you need to revert to that game version to complete them. That is done in the Betas tab in Steam for this game.

I don't see what could be causing this for you.

What if you make a new Windows user on this machine and log into it with that? Any different?

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere, and user empire designs.txt from /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ if you have made any custom empires or races.
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add stellaris.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.

If that doesn't help:

I see no other such reports. Are you on launcher 2023.4.1 , and using the Upload Mod button in there?

Please try this:

- uninstall the nVidia driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install march 2023 https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again

Does that help? If not, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Docum... Read more

I believe the patch notes do say that localisations are broken in some places, and will be addressed in future patches.

It is in a Federation, and I don't recall having these issues when it wasn't in a Federation. That's an interesting insight - I wonder why that's part of the issue.

I just reached another first contact situation, although I can see the ship that triggered it. This might lead to another quiet completion of the first contact process, so I'm uploading the save here now.

Refuel said: I'm getting this same issue with space fauna and especially enclaves/mauraders. It is super noticeable early game where first contact will begin with the blue envoy project above my capital (?) but I see no entities on the galaxy map except my own ship. I tried a hive mind stargazer (eager explorer jump ships) build for the boost to sensor and hyperlane range and this problem got 100 times worse when i was jumping to explore the galaxy.

Previously in the early game when I would explore in the first ten years of the game I would see the stations and ships in a maurader empire with the f...

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I had already conducted several first contact processes against AI empires, as well as against the Tiyanki and Amoebas. I started a first contact with an entity that appeared at my homeworld, although I didn't see anything on the map or in the system. Months later, I then got an audio message saying that communications have been established, but I didn't get any pop-ups. I didn't realize that it was with the crystals until I came across them years later. After that, I tried t... Read more
