You'll just need to make that appeal which you've already done, so from that point it would be a matter of waiting to hear back. That 30 days is the maximum it would typically take, but you should be hearing back substantially faster since we don't have a particularly high volume of those requests currently.

That would have dropped your rank back down a bit, and we had also lowered the RP entry cost across the board.

While you may have just enough time to craft between damage ticks if you're quick, there should be an in-game setting you can toggle to give yourself more time, aside from having to use a heat shield.
You should be looking for this one, can you double-check to make sure this is set to Off? This applies both to damage from other players as well as the ring, so this should help out.
