The Conquest cap will be lifted next week, July 18 in this region. After the weekly reset:

• Calderax will sell the Conquest boxes (Obsidian Equipment Chest). These will:
  • Require Challenger I in Season 2.
  • Have iLvl 408 gear.
  • Cost 375 Conquest.
• Spinsoa in Zaralek Caverns will sell the Valor boxes (Volcanic Equipment Chest). These will:
  • Require 1000 rating in M+ for Season 2.
  • Have iLvl 398 gear.
  • Cost 250 Flightstones.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Fixed a bug causing the cost of the Relentless Gladiator’s Rifle to not be similar to the cost of Relentless two-hand and ranged weapons.
• Fixed an issue where Glyph of Polymorph did not remove intended versions of Ignite, Deep Wounds, and Piercing Shots.
• Fixed an issue preventing the Steel Gate Flying Machine from grappling Sack of Relics for the quest “I’ve Got a Flying Machine!”
• Fixed a bug that could prevent the game from launching on MacOS Sonoma (Version 14).
• Dungeons
  • In Azjol-Nerub and Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom (Titan Rune):
    • Players will no longer lose threat when they are web-wrapped.

Testing Focus

• We will bring the Hardcore PTR realm down on Thursday, July 13. It will then be unavailable for approximately 7 days until July 20.
• At the same time, we will open a Normal Classic Era PTR realm with level 60 character templates enabled for PvP testing.
  • We will publish a full explainer on the revamped Classic Era honor system.
  • We will also host a “Brawl with the Blues” event on Friday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. PDT—more details coming soon!

Gameplay Adjustments

• The minimum level to earn or grant stacks of the String of Ears buff has been raised to 19 (was 10).
• Upon death, any active mail in the player’s mailbox will be deleted when a realm transfer is initiated, and any active auctions will be cancelled and deleted.

To provide more transparency on the actions that get taken against exploitative accounts, here is a breakdown on the number of actions that were taken over the last month, June 2023:

All of these actions are for cheating or exploitation which are primarily permanent bans or 6-month suspensions. This number does not include separate actions like character name or in-game language violations. We continue to evolve our methods and act against these malicious accounts on a daily basis.

We’re continuing to investigate and address issues impacting realm performance.

When our fixes for issues require it, we’re restarting the realm(s).

PTR is back up.

We’re currently working through some server performance issues that required us to take the PTR realm offline to troubleshoot.

Additionally, due to an unrelated issue, we will wipe all test characters on the Hardcore PTR realm. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. This is a step we have to sometimes take, but we don’t expect to do this again during this PTR period.

We hope to have the PTR fixed, test characters wiped, and the realm back up later this afternoon.

• On first login to the PTR, some game settings may appear to be missing. Completely logging out and back in should resolve this.

Please note that we may need to take the PTR realm(s) offline in order to apply priority fixes.

We intend to broadcast server messages to testers with a countdown when the PTR realms are being taken offline.

If you’re still not testing the PTR (Public Test Realm) with us, and you want to, we’ve made it easy to get started. Just follow these steps:

CREATE A PTR ACCOUNT:

• Log in to Blizzard Account Management .
• Select Games and Subscriptions.
• In the Starter Editions & Public Test Regions section, select Create PTR Account.
• Click the Create Account button.

JOIN THE PTR:

• Open the Blizzard Battle.net App and select World of Warcraft Classic from your Games list.
• In the selector above the Play button, change your Region / Account to WoW Classic Era PTR.
